I don't recall how I became aware of this game, but I'm so glad to have discovered it. Turns out it's been around for a while and has garnered some impressive recognition. This is another good game for the iPad. The graphics are stunning and the way the different mechanisms perform is intriguing. This is more a puzzle game. I got the first game in the app store for 99 cents and couldn't wait to buy "The Room 2" after I finished the first one. I relied a lot on walkthroughs for the first game; but find I don't need as much help so far in the second one. Maybe it's just a matter of figuring out how things work. There are hints available in the game if needed. This isn't anything like the casual games we usually discuss here. But I recommend that anyone who's interested in a good game to play on the iPad look into what these games are all about. There are youtube video walkthroughs that might be a good way to see how the games work.

I have recently purchased The Room 3 for my iPad. I loved both of the previous games. Just the right amount of head scratching for me - hard enough to take some time to work out what to do, but fair enough to not need any hints. If I get stuck, I find I can usually get the solution by walking away for a while and coming back with a different perspective. I like how the puzzles make full use of the 3D environment and object manipulation.

I too find that leaving the game for a while helps if I get stuck, especially when it comes to having to manipulate lines in order to form a symbol. I'll definitely be purchasing the third installment.

Will Room 2 & 3 become available for PC in the future? Played and loved Room 1. wave

THere were previous discussions in Adventure game forum here.

It doesn't seem that anything but Room 1 is out for PC.

I have looked back at the threads and we might be talking about two different games. There is "The Room" and also "Rooms". Is this correct?

I thought "Rooms: The Main Building" was a fun game.
However it has nothing to do with "The Room" series.

Yes, I was thinking of Rooms: The Main Building, as a casual game. smile
