Having a problem,got the game running,( music no speech ) is there actual speech or just text? Anyway, I cant seem to figure out how to get the taxi driver to take me anywhere, he tells me to prove Im a reporter, but I cant figure out how, I've been in the news room and asked all the questions, also cant get into my desk because its locked but cant figure out where to get the key,
any suggestions? Or can anyone tell me where a walkthru is available so Im not bombarding the board with questions every time I get stuck?

You can bombard anytime - that's what we're here for. Ahh - as long as we know the answer though BUT we have a great helpful membership to come to our rescue.

It orginall;y came out in 92 as text only,but later was made as talking version. What OS are you using.I replayed it a couple of years ago using a Win 98 and playing under DOS.It would probably play under DosBox.I think you are suppose to have a press pass on you and you might be given one by your boss or in your drawer

If you have a Cd version, that is the talkie. You need to have the CD running, because the speech is on it.

sometime this month, it runs fine on the one Im running now but no voice, just music and text, thanks for all the walkthrus, I figured I needed a press pass but cant figure out how to get one, Ive spent at least an hour talking to the same couple of people and exploring the few places I have to explore and just cant get it, ( Walkthru time! )Im sure it'll be one of those DUH things,

Hey Agent, I do have the cd version, but no talkie,hmmmm. might have to try and tweak a little or wait until I get my 95 up and running and play on there.

Hoping one of you can help me out, I get laura in the cab and start driving but the cab just keeps going and going and dosent stop. the driver
wont talk to me and I just dont know what to think, any suggestions??

The wt states in one case, to wave your press pass and tell your destination. Is there a map to use to point your destination or do you just talk to the cabbie?
The other time on the wt states to check the trash in the cab before telling him the destination.

Maybe a Laura-Dagger vet can help us.

Helen, If that doens't work - try replaying an earlier save and see if you can get that cabbie to listen to you.
