Hi all - you might like to take a look at this free Steam game.
It is puzzle based but part of the puzzle is to found out how the controls work and what you have to do - deliberately there are no instructions.
While you are doing this you have to work out how to communicate with the NPCs by learning their language.
The graphics and sound are very basic, but the gameplay more than makes up for this.

Thanks for the link and for the information. I can't tell whether this would be best described as an adventure puzzle game or as a casual puzzle game, but it looks interesting and different.
