Hi Gang...........I'm trying to find Via Dentecala and the Ristorante Da Tonino. I can find the sign for the restaurant off the main plaza but can't find the darn restaurant. Which way is it from the sign. Also, I see no street on the map Via Dentecala. help

Witchen,

By now you have talked to Mr. Fermino. He will be at the map by Arco Naturale. On the map, Via Dentecala will be the curved road just below the bold lettered Matermania and is perpendicular from Via Matermania.

To get there, Jump to Matermania and see if you can follow the map. Hope that helps. smile

Okay, Mags.....I made it to the Tonino, thanks to your help. Now, in lieu of making a Capri Salad, I find I have no tomato. I'm not sure I ever had one, but I went to Via Belvedere Cesina, up the NW stairs (left of the black Belvedere door) to where Costanzo is supposed to be waiting with a nice, big, fat tomato for me. He's not there. No way. I went back to the green grocer....no one to help me. How do I get a tomato? Yeeeeeeeeeesh lol

Thanks! whistle

If you have the key did you use it on the door? Try that and see if the nephew is inside.

Aya, you do need the key. Use the key on the gate after climbing the NW stairs. Constanzo will materialize after you open that gate. He better.

My garden has some tomatoes if he doesn't come. I'm sure your garden too. lol

If not, a very wise Hints person by the name of Witchen often say - go back to a saved game, that might unhinge that glitch.

Hi there Kay and Mags............. smile

I have the key. The gate up the steps in the NW direction from the black door is standing open. (I did try the key on the black door too, but you can only use the door knocker there.)

I've definitely been here before, up to the gate, but there's no need to open the gate and no one to hand me my prize tomato, that's for blinkin' sure! LOL thumbsup

Witchen,

I replayed this part. You have the gate opened already. I found that the arrow appears only at the bottom of the gate, just above the floor.
I'm not sure now and I just replayed it lol if it has the 'help' frame to show where the active cursor should be. At first, I couldn't find the hot spot also.

Hi Mags........Thanks again. wink

I went back in this afternoon and, yes, the gate up the NW steps from the black door is standing open and I can go inside to see a view overlooking the water, but there is no one there to present a tomato.

I think I'm going to put this game aside. duh

Hi there, Mags...........Thanx so much for the offer, but I am stubborn as a mule and didn't want to give up..... blush I went back AGAIN, and figured out what the problem was....I don't know a tomato when I'm looking at it! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh! The tomato was in my inventory looking very much like a fig. So, I figured, what the heck, this is the only object that could be a tomato by the remotest stretch of the imagination and, sure enuff', it was!

Thanks again, Ms. Mags praise no glitches in this game after all.

Well, Glynn, that's a nice way of putting it.

This tomato thingie also might more closely resemble a horse chestnut, or maybe a brownish rock. LOL rotfl

Thanks again, Mags..... thanks

Mags has the true score on a horse chestnut. It is a chestnut, though not the kind that one would "roast on an open fire." LOL thumbsup
