I solved the slider puzzle in Chapter 3, and here's how I did it.

I went to the Safecracker website, where they offer several ways to solve slider puzzles. The one I used was the one where the empty square is on the bottom right. I inverted the Black Mirror Puzzle in my mind so the empty square was on the bottom right.

Then I solved the top 2 rows, then put 9 and 13 in place (finishing the first column), then 10 and 14 (finishing the second column) and finally the last 3 tiles were easy to figure out.

So, for the Black Mirror Slider Puzzle, solved the bottom 2 rows, then column 4, then column 3, work out the last 3 tiles and there you are!!

The person who said it didn't work neglected to flip the Safecracker puzzle so the top right square of the Black Mirror puzzle would be in the same place on the Safecracker puzzle.

It's not so tough after all!

Keep up the great work MaG! bravo

Wow! is right. Personally I detest sliders but slowly getting better at them. Though if I ever did get really stumped I usually turn to a nifty program I found a few years ago at Balmoral Software

hope this helps,
Brian

I also tried to use the slider solver from the Safecracker walkthrough (I had to adjust because the open square was in a different space to start, but I reversed the grid so they matched). I tried to solve the slider 3 times and each time the last 2 tiles were reversed and I couldn't finish. Kay
