Am almost through with this game; am at the part with the pyramid (jumping over other tiles to eliminate all but one). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?
Thanks.

Marian: Don't know about peg solitaire. But, I got very close to winning - 2 pegs left and I skipped it. I know, not good on my part.
Thanks.

I have been playing only a few games recently and none stand out except for this last one - Elly Cooper and the City of Antiquity. I almost didn't buy it because I played the demo and the HOG objects are tiny to the point of needing a microscope for some. However, the rest of the game is worth it. I got over 7 hours worth of play. It is a basic game. There are inventory puzzles and standalones (things like chinese checkers and a jigsaw). I thought they were challenging enough. There was a game of Yahtzee to play, which I enjoyed, and you could go back and play it at the end of the game. One code puzzle I had to use a WT for. If anyone can explain to me how the code number sequence fits the whole alphabet, I'd like to know. This game had an old fashioned feel, parts of it made me reminisce about the Riddle of the Sphinx. There is no hand holding, and the clues are not helpful for the mini-games. Save them for finding the minuscule hidden objects instead.

I can't get past the airship puzzle. It doesn't have a skip option and hint doesn't help as it just repeates the goal of the puzzle. Doesn't actually show the right step.

The only thing I could find about the airship puzzle was this. If that doesn't help, hopefully another player will be able to advise you.

Random clicking on directions eventually got me out of it. That was annoying.

There was a pattern I found. Big Dipper, Little Dipper, and Cassiopeia (I'm not so sure about the last one).

I picked up this game yesterday and am finding it quirky but interesting. Not your usual clichés. I love the change of pace from detectives and witches and animated robots and magic. This feels a bit like an Indiana Jones saga. So far, the only thing that is annoying is how TINY the items in the HOG scenes are. I have had to put my nose and even a magnifying lens right up to the monitor to get some of them.
I am stuck at the moment, though, on the steamship headed across the Atlantic. I have two, alpha-numeric clues that suggest they apply to a 5-digit safe in the bad guy's room, but I can't suss out how they relate to that safe. The safe has a strictly alpha code. There must be some other clue that I have missed?
Also, I have played the dice game, beaten the guy's score and got the second golden mirror, but the game Hint keeps suggesting that I have not finished interacting with the guy. Yet, there is nothing for me to do. If I click on him, nothing happens any more. I have the two "cells" and the two mirrors in inventory and that is all. They do not have any impact on him. And there is a table behind this gambler where lies a black hat, a fan and some other stuff. This area seems to be "active," but I have not been able to do anything with it. Is it important?

Thanks, Marian. I did look for a WT, and found that one. Hoped it would clue me in as to why the game kept directing me back to an Action that already had been completed. Nope. Nothing in it about being stuck in the Lounge, having completed the task but having the game keep telling me I hadn't. Oddly enough, when I quit the game and came back to it the next day, it had fixed itself. So I was able to go on, but the grumbling volume in this house in increasing. I am nearly finished with the game now, and found some of the puzzles original as well as the use of some inventory. The scenes are well rendered and interesting, and each is quite different. I especially like that it leaves out witches, magic smoke, curses, kidnappings and all the other overused tropes in this genre. So, even though the glitches and game dynamics annoyed me, I kept with it. Now, I have one of those puzzles where you need to slide blocks around, to cover buttons. (You know, the "pushing boxes" type of puzzle? I love those puzzles! As you know, you can get caught in a corner if you aren't careful about which box you push in what order.) So, I developed my strategy and began to push them around. But after I have half the blocks in place, the ball no longer will roll back away, so I can go get another block. It only wants to push the same block again, which would shove it into a wall and I'd be stuck. I have restarted it several times, looking for a way to keep the ball going, with no luck. I went back to that WT that you found but it says nothing about this puzzle except to repeat what the object of the puzzle is! Grrrr. This game is quite different to other hidden object games, and I have enjoyed its interpretation of the genre. But I would never recommend it to anyone. It feels like a first try at a game, that they pushed out the door without resolving all its glitches, and with confusing transitions and navigation. Several times, it sends you off journeying alone, leaving your friends behind, only to arrive at a distant location with your friends somehow magically transported there too. The game has frequently pushed me into a hole or let me go past a scene without doing something that I cannot return to do later. And then there are those TEENY items in the HOG scenes. When I use the Hint to reveal them, I still can't see them and have to click around in the area indicated by the Help until my cursor hits the darned thing. So my frustration has increased as I have progressed through the game. And there is no WT that offers any real help or explanation. At this point, I think I will bail out on the game. By looking at the WT, I can see there is not much left, and the irritation factor is outweighing the charm of the game.

Well, I have bailed on this game, and unloaded it. No matter what I tried or what WT that I read, never could see how to move those balls around in that one mini-game, and could not skip it because I was playing on the Hard setting. Would have had to restart the game, and it wasn't that important to me. Still, I am curious to hear from someone who completed that particular puzzle, as to how they did it and what I was missing.
Overall, I enjoyed the game.
