Murder and mystery await Hercule Poirot, fiction’s favourite Belgian detective, as he challenges the devious mind of the “A.B.C.” killer

“Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders” will release on Feb 6, 2016.

Quote:
Bracknell, UK, 5th January 2016 – Kalypso Media is excited to announce its partnership with the highly regarded French publisher Microïds in bringing the boxed retail versions of the eagerly awaited adventure title “Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders” to PC, PlayStation®4 and Xbox One in the United Kingdom*, North America and Brazil.

Adapted from the classic Agatha Christie novel of the same name, “Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders” is an adventure mystery game, offering sharp-minded gamers the opportunity to play as Christie’s famous fictional detective Hercule Poirot. Players will guide the famous detective as he attempts to unmask the elusive murderer known only as “A.B.C.” To solve the case, players will have to interview characters, gather evidence, and solve challenging puzzles in order to collect clues and piece together the mystery to bring the “A.B.C.” murderer to justice, all rendered stylishly in cel-shaded 3D.

Recognised in the Guinness World Book of Records as the most successful novelist of all time, Agatha Christie specialized in locked room thrillers and classic whodunit mysteries. Her 66 novels, 154 short stories and 19 plays have been translated worldwide into over 50 languages. And Then There Were None, Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express are just some of the many titles that have been adapted for film and TV. Learn more about the creation of “Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders” by watching the three part making-of series here: Episodes 1 to 3 - The Making of A.B.C. Murders

“Agatha Christie – The ABC Murders” will be available digitally via steam here for PC on 4th February, 2016, with the UK retail PC, Mac, PS4™ and Xbox One versions launching on 5th February, 2016 For more information please visit the official website at http://www.agathachristie.microids.com.

I'll be opting to buy the retail version - if it doesn't have to be played via Steam.

Does anyone know that yet ??

The characters are cartoonish, but the decor and environment look great. Maybe this is going to be better than I thought, especially if the voices are excellent. I really look forward to it. I will need to find out if it is out on PS4 as well on 6 Feb, and if the PC or Mac versions are of a better resolution than the PS4.

I agree. I wish they had stayed in the style of Murder on the Orient Express and Evil Under The Sun. However, I'm glad this will be a full adventure game and not just a hidden object game.

I also wish the style were more in line with the previous games. I thought the realistic look fit the series better. Good point about it being an actual adventure game as opposed to a hidden object game, of course. smile

I'm not sure I'm going to get it yet, but there's a definite possibility, so I'm watching the news, previews and later, the reviews. I'm also hoping GOG gets it as well. smile

I was disappointed to see the screen shots and find that the graphics were cartoons. So I probably won't buy it.
However the one cartoonish game that I did rate very highly, and thoroughly enjoyed, was Murder in the Abbey. For some strange reason, the style seemed to suit it.

Wow !! Well if I can't get a "Non-Steam" disk version I will definitely be buying from GOG. Thanks for that news, dianne and Gnabgib bravo

I'm not too bothered about the change to cartoon style graphics, myself, as long as the story remains good grin

I will buy this game and most likely enjoy it but I wish they had stuck with the old style graphics of prior games.

I did like The Raven and that game had a similar look to this but it was The Raven, not Agatha Christie.
