Palindromes are interesting because they read the same forwards and backwards. While phrases are common, complete sentences are rare. The first palindrome that I saw was: Madam, I'm Adam, then I saw the longer: Madam, in Eden I'm Adam. Since then Will and Guy have put together ten of the best palindromes:

Live not on evil

Rise to vote, sir!

Do geese see God?

Lisa Bonet ate no basil

Dennis and Edna sinned

Murder for a jar of red rum

A man, a plan, a canal, Panama!

No, it never propagates if I set a gap or prevention

Doc note: I dissent. A fast never prevents a fatness. I diet on cod.

Sweating Like a Pig

Funny RSPCA story

The phrase "sweating like a pig" actually has nothing to do with the animal that you might find on a farm. Instead, it refers to iron "sows" and "piglets" made when smelting pig iron. In traditional iron smelting, liquid iron is poured into a mould shaped like one long line with many smaller lines branching off of it at right angles.

This looks similar to piglets feeding from their mother, so these pieces became known as pigs. After the pigs are poured into the sand, they cool, causing the surrounding air to reach its dew point and turn into moisture on the pigs, like they are sweating. When the pig is sweating, it's cool enough to be moved.

`````````````````````
Funny English Language - More Examples
There is probably a posh name for this clever crafting of the English language, but to Will and Guy these examples are just to be enjoyed without deep analysis, we hope that you feel the same.
Good news today. The mom and daughter who lost that golden retriever and I sent them over to the address of the gals who took it home, finally was spotted WITH the doggie back safely with them. Hooray! I worried that they wouldn't find her, but as I drove to the store yesterday, there they were walking towards my house with the dog on a leash. Nice. Probably won't know if they finally found the right address (they didn't seem to know numbers well) or if they got it from animal control. If animal control, it probably cost them over 100 bucks to get the dog back. Our animal control facility gives shots, does a routine exam, treats any problems, and then chips and licenses the dog if it wasn't already. Could be costly for an owner who didn't do any care. At least they have her back and I'm happy.
Still raining off and on. Nice wet ground all over. I'll have to get my yard kid to dig out the ditch in back that drains the water away from my rentals. Water backed up across the driveway and was still filling the channel. Gotta make it deeper and farther back. Yukky job, but the kiddo doesn't mind dirty work.
All Outdoorsies happy and snug in various spots. Amazingly, Digger, the ultimate deck guard, who usually stays under the plastic covered table, was in the actual 'kitty tent'. She hasn't gone in there for months, but it has a nice deep kitty round bed. Maybe she got cold and is snuggling. Nice to see the tent used again.
Off to see what fell off the trees with our high gusty winds.
WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.
Well, I am here. I'm okay until I see Sir Winston's picture on Facebook Couldn't get the date changed. His birthday was Jan 5, 2006 - 2016. He was 10. Such a sweet dog.
Dr is changing my meds as I am having some issues with the ones I am taking. They say I am doing a little better. Some days I feel it, others I don't. Going to try orchestra this semester even if I can't play all of it. This will be my last unless I really improve. On oxygen all the time now.
Really like Jen, Vince's girlfriend. She is so sweet.
Y'all have a great day.
Hey everyone. Hope you're all having a good day. wave
I've had a pretty good one. I met my friend at IHOP for breakfast. After that I got my oil changed, and now I don't need to wash my clothes. lol
I went and got some groceries, and went home. All this time it's was overcast and very foggy, but it was a far cry warmer than yesterday was all day.. bravo
After installing my groceries in the kitchen cabinets, I decided to go to the creek. penguin
After I got to the creek I saw that we had apparently gotten more rain last night than I thought we had, and the creek was running muddy, and high. woot
There were still places where I could look, but I didn't find anything. taz
It turned out to be a real nice day though.
This weekend is supposed to be cold again, like 39 for a high, so I probably won't go back to the creek until sometime next week. sad
Tomorrow.....night.....is a work day 2:00 to 10:00. A work 'night.'
Speaking of tomorrow, I'm off to get started on that right now. yay
