Hi Samson, there are plenty of good match 3 games available, but it would be good to know if you have a preference in terms of timed/untimed in the games, as there are several good ones that spring to my mind that can only be played in a timed mode.

Of the newer ones, I would check out Runefall. It has some interesting play mechanics that you might enjoy.

A big favorite around here with some of our Boomers is Around the World in 80 Days. It gets very challenging as it goes along.

The Jewel Quest games, this one being the first (there are several), are considered to be some of the best of the best when it comes to match 3 games.

There are many more good ones from which to choose. I will wait to hear what your playing preference is as to timed/untimed - that will help me narrow down the field in terms of offering more suggestions. wave

Samson .. The ones I always keep installed are :

Jewel Match 1 & 2 & Twilight
Laruaville
and
Legend of Gallant

But you probably already play all those !! laugh

Some others I own but don't play all the time are :

The Bejewelled series
Jewel Match 2: Reloaded
Jewel Match Winter Wonderland
Jewel Match 3
Laruaville 2
Legend of Egypt: Jewels of the Gods
Legend of Maya
Treasures of Rome

Several have "timed" options yes

If you like to play against someone, Jewel Quest 2 has a Tournament mode.
You must be connected to the internet to play.
I'm quite addicted to it.

Are there any Match 3s that do not give hints whether you want them or not? Do I have to play as if timed in order to avoid being shown the most advantageous play?

Hi, I have started playing Runefall. Can anyone play it with the timer on. It is very difficult. I wonder if anyone has any tips on how to do this.Do you have to unlock all of the grass and sand tiles , in case there are items underneath. It is a very good game but not easy timed. Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Sam.

8dognight, I do know that such match 3 games exist, but I can't remember which ones, unfortunately. It would be good to take them on a case-by-case basis and check them out for yourself.

Samson, I will see if I can find some tips for you about the timed mode in Runefall.

I found some tips for playing in timed mode here. I hope that will help you out. wave
