Hi everyone bluto here

I am trying to Play the above game. but every time I get to the part where he is in
The cargo hold and he comes back to the red convertible checks the jail
The inspects the crates and is hit on the head frees himself.
and goes back to the car the character literally disappears from the screen
Only the character nothing else.
and the game will not let you proceed you can't pick up anything or do anything
Else.
I am running on windows 7 which you are suppose to be able to do according to the
Jacket it came in, has anyone else had this problem that can help.

This sounds like a technical problem so I have moved you over to Glitches. We can always move this thread back to Adventure Game Hints if it turns out to be a game problem.

Let's wait and see what the techies have to say.

Windows 7 is not the problem.
Your video card "might" be the problem if you're using Intel graphics for video. Specs I found list either Nvidia 8 series or ATI x1600 or better or DirectX 9.0c-compatible with 256MB of discrete video memory.

I tried Googling

Raven "Legacy of a Master Thief" "disappearing character"

and

Raven "Legacy of a Master Thief" "character disappears"

and found nothing relevant. But in general a disappearing 3D character in a 2.5D game suggests a video card (or video driver) incompatibility or insufficiency.

If the video card is not the problem, does the problem happen every time you load from a save and replay?

Yes it happened every time I played the game from a save.
I loaded it in on two different systems both being laptops
With windows 7 installed and got to that point in the game
down in the cargo hold and only the character disappeared
Nothing else You can not change the video card in a laptop it's hard wired into
The motherboard.
I think I will just take the game out and put it on the shelf to pick up dust

If it's a glitch in the game programing it can't be fixed anyway
