and there's no Skip offered, so it must be fairly simple, but not for me! If you don't see a skip, are you sure the puzzle is activated? If that's not the problem, we need something more specific than "key puzzle." I searched the walkthrough for the word "key" and the walkthrough is full of "key puzzles." You need to tell us which one you're stuck on. Preferably copy/paste the text of the walkthrough into your message so we can tell exactly where you're stuck.

Are you taking about the part where you have to push the bottom part of the keys to match the whole?? If so push the bottom of the key to form the hole..

Not completely sure if this is the puzzle you are working on, but I found this solution on the Big Fish forum: I managed to solve it, thanks to all fishies who posted in this thread.
First I changed the difficulty to "regular", then I swapped the tiles the "Hint" pointed at. If this isn't a random solution, the following should work:
Take every key part as a number: upper row numbers 1 - 5, lower row numbers 6 - 10.
Swap 6 and 10, then 7 and 9, 7 and 8, 1 and 4, 3 and 5.
This should do the trick.

It's in the locksmith's shop and you have to make a key. I have the key blank in the machine, and you have to line up the metal objects to duplicate a designated key. I've seen and read several WTs, but can't seem to get it done. Is that the part of ***this walkthrough*** that says Place the KEY DRAWING and BLANK KEY for a puzzle. Solution (M). Pull the handle (N); take the FACE-LOCK KEY. and has this picture http://cdn-blog-assets.bigfishsites.com/...unlocked050.jpgIf that's the puzzle, is the problem that you can't select the parts? or that the solution it shows doeson't work? or is it a different problem?

Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst Unlocked
Place the ROTATING DIAL; change the dates to 1457 for an HOP; play it to get the KEY DRAWING (K)
Place the BOX PARTS in the BLANK KEY BOX. Put the pieces in the right spots and take the BLANK KEY (inventory).
Place the KEY DRAWING and BLANK KEY for a puzzle. Solution (M). Pull the handle (N); take the FACE-LOCK KEY.
