Just a warning for anyone who tries this -- it includes a DirectX install with a checkbox for a Bing bar. So watch what happens when you install and don't just click through.

The controls are confusing. The game uses icons that have no indication of what they mean. You are apparently expected to wade through the entire tutorial. Want to turn the music off during a game? You have to figure out how to get back to the main menu first. There's no quick way to access that kind of option through a menu (the way there was with Microsoft's solitaire games).

There is no way that I can see to turn off the incessant rating system, where you are told how many games you've lost. In solitaire I don't give a @*%#! about that. The game also tracks useless stats like number of right-clicks, number of left-clicks, cards moved, ...

The game either plays in a horizontally stretched full screen or in a 1024x768 window which may look rather small on modern high-resolution screens.

There is no Hint that I can see.

Controls at bottom look like a video player and have no intuitive meaning.

Selection of which game to play is bloated -- no way to quickly locate a game you are interested in -- can't sort by alphabet.

Descriptions of how to play the games are generic and insufficient. Tutorial focusses on obvious stuff you already know and wastes time, putting you to sleep before you get to the answer you want (should that answer be covered at all).

The only thing it has going for it is that some of the backgrounds are nice and some of the cards are nice.

My advice -- get BVS Solitaire -- also sold by Big Fish.

Whatever you do, don't buy this one without trying it first.
I wasted half the trial period trying to figure out the controls before giving up.

Thanks so much about the Bing bar warning, Jenny. I've only seen this once before on a DirectX install with a Big Fish download, but people need to watch for such things.

Great info about the game - much appreciated. wave
