I just installed Grim Fandango Remastered (from GOG). when launching the game, I get a message: "Needs OPENGL to run game". I'm using A Vista Home Premium PC with an ATI RADEON video card.
Does anyone know where I can SAFELY download OPENGL? On Google all I found were very questionable sites which wanted me to download "things" that I really don't trust. One example: SOFTONIC website. On my WIN XP computer I already have OPENGL,but it's for a Nvidia GT 430 card. BTW, this game won't run on my WIN XP pc, but it looks like it WILL on my Vista pc if I can get the OPENGL app. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.
Sandy

You say you have an ATI Radeon card, but not which one. This game requires a minimum of an ATI 4650 video card with the recommended card an ATI 5770.

Your video card may or may not support Open GL.

Hi Draclvr,
The Vista PC has an ATI RADEON HD 2400 PRO card. If it DOES have OPENGL, where might I find it? Thanks for your expertise. You're the best.

I looked it up and your card supports OpenGL 2.0. And mj2c is right, this is something that is part of your video card drivers.

Unfortunately, Grim Fandango Remastered requires a video card which supports OpenGL 3.3 or higher. So, your video card does not meet the minimum requirements for this game.

Thanks Draclvr,
Not that big of a deal. As a matter of fact, I contacted GOG about my "problem", and they graciously gave me a credit to my account after looking into the matter and coming up with almost exactly what you have said. There's always another game. BTW, I'm still using my dinosaur of a WIN XP PC. What games don't run on this one I put on my wife's Vista PC. But GF Remastered isn't one of them. HAPPY GAMING!

Good for GOG! Their customer service rocks... Wish you could play this game though. It's just wonderful to play this game after so many years!

Well, Drac, I sill have the original game on my hard drive, but I know it doesn't look as "pretty" as the new version would be.----and Yes, GOG customer service DOES rock, unlike the horrible STEAM customer---- "service".

Yes, not as pretty and when I went back to my already installed game on my Windows 10, it was hard to make myself use the old "tank" controls!
