I'm currently playing "Mystery Case Files : Key to Ravenhurst" and so far it's the best "Ravenhurst" game I've played happydance

But I have to admit to not having played many because I didn't like the first one I attempted (can't remember which one it was) and that put me off playing any others shocked

Now, however, I'm willing to try more .... But what's the best order in which to play them ??

[ Help always much appreciated, of course smile ]

Cheers.

Mad wave

I'm glad you are enjoying it, Mad. There are several good titles in the series, so I'm happy you are liking it. wave

The first few MCF games were pure hidden object. They became more adventure-y with MCF: Return to Ravenhearst (although this one has the most hidden object scenes going forward).

If you liked Key to Ravenhearst, you'll probably like Fate's Carnival.

I'm not sure if this question is about Ravenhearst-related games or the "Mystery Case Files" series in general. Not all "Mystery Case Files" games have anything much to do with Ravenhearst. Dire Grove and 13th Skull don't seem to have much to do with Ravenhearst, though both are "Mystery Case Files" games. If you haven't tried 13th Skull, it's arguably the most adventure-like game in the MCF series.

Thanks, Marian !! That list includes the Ravenhursts in order of release - which is what I wanted to know thumbsup

Yes, I've played quite a few of the Mystery Case File games, Jenny100, and liked most of them - but right now I just wanted to know the order of the "Ravenhurst" titles in case I fancy playing any more of those thanks

Mad, just so you know...
The 3rd Ravenhearst, Escape From Ravenhearst, replaced hidden object scenes with "morphing object scenes." So you had a whole screenful of morphing objects to sit around waiting for. Some of them were very small, some of them morphed very slowly, and some of them did both. It drove me crazy and I ended up using a walkthrough to find them. "Morphing object scenes" was an experiment Big Fish didn't repeat, so others probably felt the same way.

Anyway, if you want to play another Ravenhearst game, I'd recommend trying the 2nd one (Return to Ravenhearst). I haven't tried Ravenhearst Unlocked, which follows Key to Ravenhearst, so you have to get someone else's advisement on that.

I really enjoyed the morphing objects in Escape From Ravenhearst, but perhaps I was in the minority. wave

They were too much for me -- a whole screenful at a time.
Maybe Mad likes them, but I stronly recommend trying the demo before buying.

Thanks very much Marian and Jenny100. I'll keep note of your replies for the future grin

But I can say right now, I won't be playing the one with all the morphing objects. I really don't like them, even when they're only "achievements" !! laugh
