Fascinated to see handles still here after all these years!

For those who don't know me, my name is Peter Hewitt and you can still find my games in the Indie Games section (rather retro now but nice to see that they're still there and, believe it or not, they still get downloaded occasionally - just for the record, two of them are now available for Mac users).

But a lot has happened since then. I spent a lot of time (and it was very satisfying) working with the One Laptop Per Child Project. I managed to create 40 activities before running out of ideas.

I'd basically "hung up my boots" when I met a Speech Pathologist about a year ago and, to cut a long story short and to "cut to the chase", we collaborated on the creation of iPad apps aimed at helping very young children. Initially our apps were fairly basic in their approach but, of late, I've ventured into adding an "adventure" flavour hence this posting.

If you'd like to have a look, here's an unlisted video of the latest "adventure" being played (but it hasn't been released yet):

Remember that this is aimed at children as young as 4 and that the emphasis is on listening.

Feel free to email me if you want to know more.

Best to everyone ... Peter

It's so good to hear from you, Peter. thumbsup

Just this past week, I was looking at your website and wondering how you were doing and what you were up to. Quite the coincidence, wouldn't you say? yes

Thank you for the link and for the information. wave

Nice to hear from you, Peter. Still loving your jigsaws. They are my stress release at work. I have them loaded up on my desk computer and whenever I need a break, the staff can hear the crisp, satisfying 'clicks' of puzzle pieces locking together. One of my vet techs is hooked on them too. For those of you who don't know about these, here is the link to Peter's Jigsaws.
Sounds like you are doing some great work. I remember you had some very basic puzzles that I accessed when my mom got out of the hospital and needed a distraction. They were perfect for someone who had never used a computer before.

It's a charming game and I'm sure young children will love it.
I can't identify a lot of those animals and birds myself -- like the wombat and the bilby.
