I am attempting to make the FINAL potentiometer settings. However I keep getting mixed up with which tunnel is which. When I look at the diagram C-28 from the Alida walkthrough, I must be getting the T-flyer mixed up with the T-Runner positions. I think I am going up the #1 tunnel to Arin's potentiometer, but it seems I am not. Am I looking at the diagram backwards or what? Arin and Luke have similar planetpanels and the same for Leval and Juno. Is there another way to tell for sure whose tunnel and planetpanel you are at? think

Eh???? This game sounds like a scientific game. I think I should skip this. I never was good in science. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" />

I started out playing Alida without using a WT, but I soon found out that I would need to have one handy in order to procede with all the technical details in this game. I hope someone can help with my question. help

Even though there are 2 potentiometers with 4 planets & 2 with 5, they all have unique colors in different positions. That helped me to to figure out which was which.

I also kept getting lost in that round room. I found it easiest to keep my sense of direction by going close to the entrance of one of the tunnels, turning & heading to the next, rather than going to the center of the room.

You can click on each planet, then look up & get a close-up view of the planet also. You do have the lights on, don't you?

I hope that helps.

Melanie

Yes, I have all of the lights on. Thank you for your help. I will try to stay on the periphery of the room and move around that way. thanks

Erinus,
It really doesn't matter what they are called, since each planet panel is unique. Also, you can set them as you find them, as long as the planets match the spherin video. I did wish the elevators had unique markings or colors, just to make things a bit easier. Note: I think the t-rider has its door open while the t-flyer's door is closed.

It does have its door open, Lady K. That helped a little, forgot about that one, smile but only when you could see it easily.

I visited the same tunnels so many times I was ready to tear my hair out!
lol

Good luck, Erinus!

Thanks for all your comments. Now I have to get psyched up to play again. I have been busy this week so haven't put in much time with Alida. Hope I can remember where I left off and what I have to do yet to complete those scared potentiometers.

Erinus -- you know how there are switch stands in the main circular chamber that turn on the lights in the hallways? You could turn only one of them on, explore the two hallways that are illuminated, come out, turn those lights off and then turn the next lights on and explore those hallways. This way you'll only be confused by two hallways at once, not four!

The hallways do appear to be absolutely identical, which is why they are so confusing.

One of the potentiometer chambers is different from the others, in that there is a ladder in it up to the top (one planet setting in this particular chamber allows you to see out the roof if you climb the ladder).
