Ladybug, you need to set the clock properly to unlock the desk drawer.
Solution:
The highlighted Bible passage is John 5:30. You must set the clock to 5:30. According to the piece of paper in the trash, you hear a musical melody when the hour of the clock is set to 12, three slow chimes if the hour is set to 6, and one chime if it is set to any other time. For the purpose of this solution, let's start by setting the clock to 12. So, rotate the minute hand around and keep clicking the middle circle to hear the chimes. When a musical melody plays, the clock is set to 12. From this point, you must rotate the minute hand fully around the clock clockwise five times, and then around again until the minute hand is touching the 6. You have just set the clock to 5:30! Click the center circle. If you hear five fast chimes, then you have set it correctly! Look down and open the desk drawer to continue.
Hope this makes sense!

Thanks CB I had all the information, but I thought you needed the missing clock hand to set the clock. I'll follow your instructions and see how I make out. Really enjoying this game so far. You've been very helpful with everything.

Hi, Gimme. Just in case you ahven't yet, look at the closeup of the key. I'll list 3 hints for you, followed by a full solution. Read as much (or as little) as you need! HINT #1: DON'T OVERTHINK THIS PUZZLE. The solution is simpler than you think! No math is required! HINT #2: Letters are the key to solving this puzzle. HINT #3: 01=A SOLUTION: Each number represents a letter of the alphabet. 01=A, 02=B, 03=C, and so on. Thus, the first line of numbers equals Z-E-R-O, the second line of numbers equals O-N-E, and the third line of numbers equals E-I-G-H-T. 018, or 18 is the solution! Hope this helps!

Hi, Ladybug. From where you meet Anne, enter the church. On the VERY first screen inside the church from where you entered, move your mouse over the pews on the right. There will be a clickable area where you can find her purse.

Carole, as Gimme said, turn around from where you got the key, walk forward, turn right, walk forward, and then look down. And yes, everything is a hotspot there, to "blind" you, so to speak.

Hi, Carole. Let me know if you need help with the tic tac toe puzzle! A few hints: the AI gets dumber after you've lost/tied once, and then dumber again after you've lost/tied twice. So, after you lose/tie two times, try to trick the computer by planning to win in two rows at the same time. If you need a direct solution, just let me know!

Sometimes it seems to run that way, Carole. I had an aunt who had ten boys and one girl! Her grandchildren were about 85-15% girls--I don't know about the next generation.
In my case, after having four girls and two boys, my grandchildren count is eight boys and only four girls...

TLC, go back to the study. There are things to do there. You should also keep trying different doors to see which are unlocked that were locked before.

The object is to get a gem on each dot, TLC. You can only win by sliding the gems to an adjoining dot.
The first time you click the dot, you get a gem. The second time you click that same dot, it will slide to the next dot that's connected to the first with a line. You have to plan where you will click first to slide all the gems to cover the dots with gems. There's more than one solution, so that makes it a little easier. Let me know if you want a solution.

TLC, I think the one you are talking about has colored bars at the bottom. There's PRESS or something like that on the middle set of colored bars. If this is the one - follow the colors under the letters only. Then arrange is it ?arrows? to face the next color that is under the second letter, then arrow to color of third letter, etc....

Sister, you use the herbs in the same room where you got the water. The key may not be available to you yet but will be after that puzzle. Have fun! Melanie

Hi, sister. Did you click on the bed in the bedroom yet? The first time you do, you see a short video sequence. Watch closely where Randolph points his finger. If you already saw the sequence, go to the right side of the bed, and then look around the lower-left corner of the screen for a hotspot.

Hi all. This herb mix has got me stumped! Followed all your hints, checked the book for the correct mix. Got the jug, water, candle and matches, but when I try to put the mix in the bath keep being informed 'not yet'. What am I missing?

Sister, Maybe you're missing one of the ingredients.
You're supposed to have (7 ingredients) blackberries, chamomile, chicory, dill, nightshade, rose & yarrow.
I picked 14 ingredients. If you have less than 7 left, maybe you're missing one or used the wrong one or maybe you have to pick them all first? Some of them were tricky to find.

Hi All. Yes done all of that, found the 14 herbs no problem. Followed exactly the herbs as listed in the book. Opened the box with the 'musical' hands. Water's on, even collected more herbs (just in case) after using specified ingredients and mixing them with the water. I'm chasing my tail again guys!!

I think you're suppose to place the arrows based on where you walked when you entered the maze. The tile is - click left, click forward, there will be a left and a right path. Take the left path. I'm vague on this part because I did this hit & miss. I have to check it when I write something.

The well is covered. Look in the well and click on the metal cover and do a sentence forming puzzle. Then when the well is opened, drop the roped bucket and see that the water is too strong. The next puzzle is to stop the water flow using the water pipes by the wall of the house. The stuck thing on the left of the well is the crank - it will be movable later when you palce the roped bucket in the well.

When I clicked on the cover it rearranged the letters. I didn't turn off the water, that's another puzzle that I'm clueless on. I know the wheels turn left or right, but I don't know in what position they should be.

If it rearranges the letter that means that puzzle is not done yet. If it is done correctly the letters will not appear anymore. Arrange one of the 3 letter word first - the top right is THE. You will then finish the puzzle. Try again and see.

I am supposed to change the time on the clock but cannot figure out how to move the minute hand. Should my cursor change to a hand or something? The only cursor change I have seen so far is the 'lips' which means 'talk'. Love, Betty Lou

OK, and thanks, have succeeded in making it to the piano in the church balcony, when I play the notes and check out the spot for the tile (loved seeing Father doing his dance and singing! What FUN!), placed the tile from the priests closet, and clicked on 'any circle' I do not see any numbers appearing - I have replayed this from a previous save spot but I must still be doing something wrong or missing something - I get no numbers - will keep on trying and trying to see what the problem is - May come back to ask for a saved game, between this game 'stalling' now (my stuckness before was my own brain not 'getting it') and swimming, and swimming and swimming in POTS and getting nowhere, am spending a lot of time in 'depression mode', am sure I will get over it, just need a good laugh or two. Bye Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou, Is this the pyramid puzzle with the nines? If so, you have to move the numbers to different spots. I don't remember the action used exactly but I think you drag them to another spot to rearrange them. Do you see the 9's? Melanie

Betty Lou, did you get a message saying that you do not have Flash installed when you started the game? That puzzle requires the Macromedia Flash plugin.

Thanks for the tips, and Mel, thanks for the saved game, puts me thru this 'glitch'. CB I DO have FLASH installed, so do not know what the problem is. I may have forgotten to do something along about the 20 or 30th time I played it to this point. The tile placed opens the puzzle for me but when I click on a circle I get no numbers - don't know why. Anyway Mel sent me her saved game and I have installed it into the game files. Will proceed on my way (am in the bathroom) as soon as I get through with finishing up some church business and genealogy club 'stuff'. Thanks for your help too. Love, Betty Lou

It's me again Mel. I need a saved game for just after the ice cube/maze puzzle, I can't seem to hold onto it, it keeps jumping back to the beginning on me about half-way thru. So I keep running out of time (Phooey! ). Thanks if you have it and will send it Love, Betty Lou

That save is not working for me Mag. I'm still stuck in that maze ice cube in hand. I keep getting an error message when I try to LOAD your saved game. Don't know what is wrong. Thanks Love, Betty Lou

Thanks Mag, I deleted your previous saved attachment from my game files, downloaded this more recent one, reentered the game and chose your save to LOAD but keep getting the error = an error has occurred, game will not run properly, click "esc" then exit (or quit) so I am still stuck - and when I try to play from my last save just before carrying the ice cube into the hot maze I cannot hold onto the ice cube as about half way there it jumps back to the beginning and I have not touched the hot walls at all.....ready to throw this disc into the trashcan! Love, Betty Lou

For some reason, I didn't save after several of the trials. Strange for me. I guess I was too wrapped up in the game. I do have an idea though. Did the save have an extension on it? Some computer setups do not automatically add the extension & maybe it's not being recognized? Edit: I just found a save that might be the right one, Betty Lou! I think I just didn't name it clearly. I'm sending it to you now to try. I hope it works! Fingers crossed. Edit: I just realized that Chris already had you covered. Sorry Chris. Melanie

WOW! So many saves and I downloaded them all into my game files. Chose the one labeled After Ice Maze and it worked just fine, I have finished the game. Thanks for all your help. Just wish I could figure out why I had so much trouble with that one puzzle, it did not react the way I figure it should have until someone's save got me past it. Thanks again. On to something else now. Love, Betty Lou

OMG! You guys are so far! Waaa! I keep going out one door and in another round and round. I was in the church once but cant find my way back there. I'm getting sick of his house.....and nothing to do.....except keep trying to open the same darn locked doors over and over. Where is that dude with the keys....maybe I'll start over. <pout>

Tutti, what have you done in the house so far? I'm not sure what point you're up to.
