dear Jenny100, if I do what you say,the game does not start at all, it gives a message,"cannot log on" You'd need to type in the name and password of an account with Administrator privilege. If you are using an online Microsoft account, I don't know how to deal with it other than to go back to using a local account. But see if the instructions described by "Gwydion" at Marian's link work.

dear jenny100,i tried to adjust to,(640x480),as marian's link says, from the steam forum, but this solves no more then 75% of the problem, the width of the game screen,is 100% good,it covers from edge to edge, the problem is with the height, first of all the taskbar is fully visible, plus this game has a blue frame all around all sides, the only feature, when i set it to (640x480),the frame from the width is off,but not the height the best thing to find some solution,to remove the check mark i still hope you will find something. i thank in advance samuel

I downloaded a manual for the S211HL from Acer at http://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/driversThere is a Control called "Wide Mode" that appears when you have the wrench icon selected, and that seems to be set to "Full" by default. It's possible that can be changed from "Full" to something else, but I can't tell from the manual. However "Xenox" in the gaming.stackexchange forum said changing the "Wide Mode" adjustment will adjust aspect ratio for old games. http://gaming.stackexchange.com/question...n-a-wide-screenFor most Acer monitors this can be adjusted trough the monitor's menu.
Press the menu button, then press the < / > buttons to navigate to the settings tab, and adjust the "wide mode" setting. Another user in the same forum uploaded a picture of their Nvidia options showing where they can change aspect ratio. So it's possible your Nvidia card has something similar in its settings.

dear jenny,i played around on the monitor controls, and i got the "Wide Mode",setting,by default it is set to"Full",thats why wide mode, must be set to full, because this is a wide screen, and to keep it this way,it must be set to full,so the wide mode has 2 settings, the default is"full",the other is "aspect",and when i set it to this, the screen shrinks, left and right sides,by 4 inches,so i end up with a small monitor and this is even worser,so as i said before,we must find a way,to remove the check mark, listen i have at least 50 games plus, allmost all of them, never gave me this kind of a problem i assume that maybe with the video card,we can do the same, but its no good i thank in advance samuel

dear jenny100, i wrote a email to GOG,also to REVOLUTION,i told them the problem, they both responded with the same answer, this game before instalation,i must put the resolution to 1024x768 then install it,i did so,and now when the game starts,i have 3 options,"full screen","original",augmented",i checked the "full screen",option, now it works fine, the game runs in full screen. samuel
