I just finished the second season series/season of Hinterland. A Welsh series apparently actually aired in the UK in Welsh and English, but is only in English on Netflix. And like everybody else I thought since day one that Tom Mathias' superior on the police force was a corrupt cop and series/season 2 has all but confirmed that without giving away what exactly he's hiding. Or of course why he would keep on the force the one man most likely to catch him when he had chances to get rid of him.

Unfortunately season 2 ends on a cliff hanger and since season 3 wont be aired in the UK until 2017 I probably have to wait to 2018 for a resolution on Netflix.

Somebody in UK doesn't trust the police, they always seem to make the higher ranking officers on TV either corrupt or incompetent.

My friend brings over a load of shows from the UK, Australia, New Zeland, France, etc. I am so used to subtitles now, I don't even notice them. The fun part is when some of the dialogue is actually part in the language and part in English. I find myself reading the English subtitle and not realizing I'm hearing English spoken. Very funny.

Hinterland is a 'dark' mystery. I watch it when I'm not in a down mood. Makes me depressed otherwise. Good series. 2017? Geez!
