Microwave (at half power), fry in a pan, bake them in an oven, boil in water. Basically any way to make them hot. I've also been known to eat them cold.

Gardens put to bed for the winter. Time for some gaming!

I don't like microwaved meat. I usually cook hotdogs in a pan.

I boil them - about 12 mins. If you like grilled, you can also do in the broiler.

Steaming them is another option. THey are generally fully cooked so any way you warm them up is acceptable or like Drac said, you can even eat them cold.

I cut them up and cook them in baked beans or in sauerkraut.

I have to disagree with you on eating uncooked hot dogs, Ana. FDA says they need to be cooked.

My parents always boiled them.
The ones I got at the farmers' market seemed more like sausages in consistency, so I fried them.
My brother still gets the store-bought type, and he microwaves them because it's less mess to clean up.
If you use vegetarian hotdogs, you probably want some method of cooking that keeps them moist.

I'd definitely cook them in some way. They may have been cooked once, but who knows what happened to them between the cooking and when they got put in the plastic. They're probably an excellent culture medium for nasty bacteria, and the plastic isn't like a can that keeps the insides sterile.

I always wonder the same about other cold cuts of meat.

No need to worry about 'cold cuts'. Most of them are packed full of 'perservatives', most of which cause my asthma to flare. No need to cook those.
