Dusty, are you meaning getting to it from the elevator shaft, or from the actual library itself? Also, have you talked to both Lisa and Dexter about the library?

yeah, that's the duct off of the elevator shaft. Has Nancy commented about hearing a noise (which allows you to climb down to the basement level of the ladder? Dusty, when I played it last, in September, I made a video walkthrough. I pulled up my walkthrough, and I think it may help you. I put it in splits (to upload to youtube faster) and I believe what you'll need is part 2 in the playlist. Check the walkthough out here. I hope this helps you

The duct is like a squared metal tube. The only place it does go is into the library. Try this: - go to the elevator and ride it down to the basement.
- Enter the elevator shaft, by way of the door in the roof of the elevator
- This should lead you to the very bottom of the elvator shaft. From here, climb the ladder up all the way and then click down once. On your direct left is a doorway (I'll add a screencap in the bottom of the post) when you put your mouse there, it sound become an arrow, which should allow you to click there. This is the duct that leads to the library
Here is the screencap from the video: http://i67.tinypic.com/15ezuvl.jpg I believe you have to enter the library through the duct first (to get the alarm code or you'll snag and end-game)
