Hi.

I own Dragon Age Origins and Dragon Age II - but haven't played either yet .... I forgot I had them !! blush

Can anyone please direct me to the "best" patches for these games as there seem to be several headscratch

[Neither game requires Steam.]

Thanks.

Mad grin

Wikia is a popular website so it seems a safe place to download from. I am not endorsing it, but I do know friends that use it.

Patches for Dragon Age Origins are here.

Dragon Age II here.

Maybe someone else can add more.

Yes. I found those links too, BrownEyedTigre lol

But I don't know which of the patches listed I should use - for either game - so am hoping for advice from someone here at Gameboomers yes

Being on Steam I don't normally deal with patches and have not played DragonAge II, but personally I would download patches directly from the Bioware site. Usually, the patch you download depends on which version you have, but as Ana mentioned someone with more experience with the games I'm sure will have input.

Here are the social commons Bioware patch download sites:

DA II Patches and Info

DA: Origins Patches

When I was playing DA: Origins and content that didn't load through Steam I pulled down directly by signing into my Bioware account. That tracks what downloads you have and I believe it may include patches - Although not sure how that all works through Origin now a days.

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here

Mad, do you have them on disks? You can enter your serials into Origin client - and then it will handle all your games and DLCs so that you wouldn't have to worry about patches.

Thanks Trail-Mystic.
I find the info on the sites really confusing and have no idea which patches to download for my games.
I was hoping someone would just reply to me here with “this is the patch you need” for each game But I guess that's wishful thinkn' eh ?? lol

Thanks, also, lurii.
But “Origin Client” sounds like another "Steam" type affair and I don’t want to get involved if that is the case rolleyes

So .... I'll hang on and see if anyone can offer perhaps more definitive advice yes

Sorry Mad, I haven't played any of them to offer further assistance. I hope you can find what you need.

I think I might have cracked it !! happydance

I went to one of the Dragon Age forums (somewhere) and got direct links to a specific Bio Ware patch for the PC version of each game - with no Origins Client or Steam or any of that kind of stuff involved.

So I've downloaded both and am keeping my fingers crossed lol

I'm playing them, but I digitally downloaded them to get all the expansion packs. So, the patches are automatically downloaded with the game. Sorry I couldn't be of assistance.

Thanks for posting, Debra smile

But I'm sure if the patches I've downloaded aren't the ones I need I'll find the right ones somehow !! laugh
