I would like to have a coherent conversation about this game, its ending, mechanics etc. It is my experience that somehow this will be moved to "review" which no one reads. <sigh> To me, I would like to have a *discussion* about the game. Thanks.

And lots of folks read the reviews so I'm not sure why the comment. The amount of views are on each thread and if people choose not to comment that is their right, but plenty of folks read it.

I don't think that most players have had the chance to finish or buy the game yet - it was only released a short while ago.

Hopefully you will get some answers, but if not, I would try again in a month or so.

I know personally, I'm bouncing between a few games and haven't gotten very far in this one yet, though I've enjoyed what I've played so far. I think Marian's probably right, and a lot of people just haven't finished it yet. I may pop back in and try to comment when I get to the ending, though that may be a while, depending on when I'm able to get back to it.

Mad, rest assured you will read no spoilers from me. I played it over four days for the purpose for writing a GB review. I will mention the ending in the review in general terms. You won't read any inside info on how it comes out. I spent little time today grabbing a few screen shots and tonight I'll be thinking about what I have to say. It is available on Steam and you DRM free fans can find it on GOG and Humble.

I doubled check that for the review I'm writing and you appear to be correct. All I can find on Humble is a steam key. So it's GOG or nothing.

Bought Kathy Rain from GOG on the day of release and finished it about a week ago. A game worth playing and better than I had anticipated but I must admit I've already forgotten the details of the ending... I was a bit put off by the "metaphysical" direction the game took towards the end though and that culminated with the ending if memory serves. It had been better if they had kept the story in the veins of a more traditional mystery, albeit with surreal/mystical undertones.

Felt a bit like Full Throttle meets Twin Peaks.
