In this quiz, a triple anagram is defined as being three words created from the same set of letters. Your job is to identify the three words in each question from the definitions I give. Good luck!

These seem a bit tough, but I think Boomers will solve them.

Remember, order is important! Make sure that the three words you enter as the answer are in the same order as the definitions!

-1.Here are three adjectives, which have a family theme, formed from the same set of eight letters. Can you identify each word from the definition?

1. Relating to either your mother or father.
2. Prior to birth.
3. Relating to your father.

-2.Another set of eight letters results in these three words. What are they?

1. A three-sided plane figure.
2. Intrinsic or necessary.
3. Changing or modifying.

3.The inclusion of an 's' can often lead to a couple of plurals. Having said that, can you identify these three words? 8 letters

1. Exact copies (plural).
2. Devices used to measure the thickness of an object (plural).
3. An opening on the outside of an animal, such as an insect, which allows it to breathe (singular).

-4.Oftentimes, the more commonly used letters of the alphabet can be twisted into a variety of words, such as these three. What are they? 8

1. Buccaneers (plural).
2. Wander about.
3. Political groups (eg. the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats, in the UK) (plural).

5.Suffixes can be used to set up new words, with some of the more common letters again resulting in a few different words. Based on these definitions, can you guess these three words? 8

1. A special bottle used to serve a beverage.
2. Filled with the sweet liquid produced by plants.
3. A botanical term meaning 'scalloped'.

-6.Let's step it up to a set of ten letters. What three words, which fit the following defintions, can be formed from the same ten letters?

1. Organise or manage.
2. Any of a number of things put on a Christmas tree, for instance (singular).
3. One of many red or yellow pigments found primarily in plants (singular).

-7.Words tend not to have many anagrams the longer they become. Although, there are a few nine-letter words which can be rearranged to form others. How about these three?

1. Discover or determine.
2. A member of a sect or other suborder.
3. Relating to the French philosopher who famously pondered his own existence (Cogito ergo sum).

-8.It's not uncommon for one letter to stay put in a set of anagrams, and the other letters shift around it. What three words are defined here? 7

1. A butler or a maid, for instance.
2. The side of a mountain.
3. Inns (plural).

-9.The simple repetition of a couple of letters in a set can lead to a number of anagrams. What three words are these definitions referring to? 7

1. An area such as a patio.
2. To go over again.
3. Someone employed to provide food at a function or event (singular).

-10.Sometimes, you can encounter a word or two that isn't in common usage, but which qualifies as an anagram. Now that I've warned you, can you identify these three words? 7

1. An important aspect or point.
2. Involves or leads to.
3. Another, less common name for the kestrel.

Sometimes lost is where you need to be. Just because you don't know your direction doesn't mean you don't have one.
