Hi everyone. I'm playing ND Silent Spy (love it, btw!) and I'm at the part where you need to duplicate a Scottish pattern to open up Bridget's cell phone. I'm not getting this for some reason, and so I wanted to post and see if anyone might have a save that could get me past this puzzle?

Thanks so much!

That's great, Marian. smile btw---if you don't mind, I'd love to ask your help again. I am having trouble with the puzzle where you remove the plaque from the bench and then have to turn the things underneath in a certain way. Would you happen to have a save for that part, Marian?

Thanks again for all of your help!

Hi Tracy, if you are having any trouble with this saved game, post a note and let's wait to hear from MaG for some further advice. luck

I will be back in a couple hours - need to do some errands. wave

Thanks Marian! MaG-if you are around I'd love to have your advice. I had installed a saved game for ND Silent Spy to get past the part where you have to take the plaque off of the bench, and then turn the things inside. For some reason, that puzzle isn't done in the saved game, and so I wanted to write and see if you might be able to help me.

Thanks so much,
Tracy

I sent you a saved game but first check to see if when you pull back from the puzzle - you can proceed to the next step.
If amateur - see if there is a task for this and it can be checked off already.

Keep us posted

Thanks so much, MaG. I'll do that and be back soon. smile

EDIT: Okay, I did try to back up from the bench and unfortunately, it's still in the same state. I am playing as an Amateur, btw, and so I also tried to check it off on my task list, but Nancy says "Can't check that off yet!" smile

I loaded the saved game and tried again, but am still having the same problem. It's as if the puzzle hasn't been done yet and I'm coming at it for the first time. frown Not sure what to do, but I'd love to have your help again when it's a good time for ya. I appreciate all that you do, btw. I'd be totally lost w/out this site and your help!

Thanks again,
Tracy

I am not sure what's going on, but I will tell you that the "can't check that off yet" doesn't necessarily signify that the puzzle has not been completed. I find that sometimes with these games that a task cannot be checked off immediately after you have presumably completed that task - that instead it can involve a series of steps that include a particular puzzle, and until you are completely done with all of that, you will get that comment from Nancy.

smile Hi again Marian and MaG! I'm back. Things have been going great but I'm having a problem again so I've come back-LOL. I'm trying to figure out what to do now that I've listened to the record, and looked at the Jabberwocky poem. I think I'm supposed to look at a note from Moira, but I can't find it or remember where it was. Would you guys mind giving me a hint or two?

Thanks! smile

Tracy

The relevant clue for this is to check the archives computer. Read the note FOR Moira. Clues are given here then.
Then crack the code. luck

Thanks, MaG! Going to go give this a shot.

EDIT: Hi again. Okay, the computer I need to look at is the one in the area where Ewan is, right? There are three files that are locked btw, and only one note that I see w/ handwriting, but it's not directly written to Moira. Would you mind giving me more hints, please? Thank you so much!! smile

Tracy, who's a bit lost, but determined to get there! lol

The Cathedral archives aren't near where Ewan sits. While in the area where Ewan is, climb the steps and go right, then turn right again. The computer there is Nancy's personal portal to the archives.

Hi Marian. Oh yes, I'm there on that computer, thanks! Not sure which note I'm looking for though, darn it.

It's by no means an easy game - and there are some tricky puzzles, for sure. luck

So glad you all are here--I appreciate your help so much!

Thanks Marian! Thanks to you guys and MaG's walkthrough, I finished the game! Yay! lol

btw--I found the picture of Kate holding baby Nancy SO touching and cute. And I loved how Nancy and her Dad were finally going to talk about her late Mom. Just to share a tidbit from RL--I lost my own Mom in September of 2013, and so this whole game felt "touching" to me, even though it was full of stuff that I never had to do in "my" journey through losing MY Mom. (like diffusing bombs, for example!)

Anyway, guys, I loved this game and I appreciate your help!

Going to go enjoy pics of my own Mom now--miss her so much. sigh...

Hugs all around,
Tracy
