Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back.

Here are some really funny church bulletins and announcements:

Please place your donation in the envelope along with the deceased person you want remembered.

Bertha Belch, a missionary from Africa, will be speaking tonight at Calvary Methodist. Come hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa.

The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals. The sermon this morning: “Jesus Walks on the Water.” The sermon tonight: “Searching for Jesus.”

Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don’t forget your husbands.

The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a conflict.

Remember in prayer the many who are sick of our community. Smile at someone who is hard to love. Say “Hell” to someone who doesn’t care much about you.

Don’t let worry kill you off – let the Church help.

Miss Charlene Mason sang, “I will not pass this way again,” giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.

For those of you who have children and don’t know it, we have a nursery downstairs.

Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

Barbara remains in the hospital and needs blood donors for more transfusions. She is also having trouble sleeping and requests tapes of Pastor Jack’s sermons.

The Rector will preach his farewell message after which the choir will sing: “Break Forth Into Joy.”

Irving Benson and Jessie Carter were married on October 24 in the church. So ends a friendship that began in their school days.

A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.

Joe, I know how that goes. I have to get up early every morning I work and often am pulled into a conversation when I have to get to sleep. And I'm a natural night person on top of that, so sometimes, I just keep myself up, much to my own annoyance. lol I hope you feel well rested in spite of your late night, and hope work flies and/or goes well tomorrow. yes

Have a terrific Sunday, Ana.

Sleep well, Midge.

Enjoy your Sunday, too, Space Quest.

It's late Saturday night here. I have another day off to spend singing with my kitties. woot catrub They try to harmonize, but it never goes well. lol

Off to sleep now. Have a terrific Sunday, everyone. spring

Super Sunday ya'll puppy

Been up making smoothies, cleaning the kitchen, and doing research.

Keoki is anemic. He had 2 blood panels in Mar and was not anemic then, so we have a puzzle to solve. Vet wants to send us to AU to the vet school for a bone marrow biopsy. We can rule out most of the obvious causes of anemia. She stopped his Rimadyl, which can cause anemia. The stress of chronic arthritis can also cause it. I wonder if he will bounce back with it stopped? My main vet wasn't on duty this weekend, so will have to talk to him to get more info from a source I trust.

The Per is doing better. He ate something today and had an immediate tummy ache, but at this point his dad and I think it's an "being sick is getting me attention" tummy ache. He's feeling well enough to play video games, so that spells cured to me.

So, anyway, we have a K Laser appointment this afternoon. Keoki is doing better. Yesterday he was a limp noodle, but recovered enough to pick his head up last night and is walking around and back to "normal" today.

Ya'll have a great and wonderful day! wavegirl

I have to agree with you, Darlene! An almost perfect day here in San Diego. Gorgeous. Warm sun, light sea breeze, paradise! Hopefully those pesky fires between you and I will calm down. I'm always afraid when little brush fires start and then get bigger and bigger. Bad memories.

Hey everybody. I'm home from my hectic work day. Wow! The sun was out, and so was everybody in town. Out mowing their lawns, and needing blades, and belts, and oil, and oil filters, and all that stuff, plus weedeaters and everything that goes with them. crazy

It was non-stop mayhem. shocked

Thanks everyone for your concern, I'm fine and everything is pretty good here. In fact I may be taking full retirement soon. yes

It was information that I received.....news that I wanted to share with my family. happydance

Anyway, after I got home, I took the pups to the park, and then came back and had my dinner. Now I just want to relax. In the morning I need to mow my jungle. rolleyes

Have a nice evening everyone. thumbsup
