Hi everyone. I'm on a Nancy Drew binge lately and decided to replay Ghost of Thorton Hall. I LOVE this game, but I forgot about the problems I had the first time with the puzzles on the coffins in the crypt. I can't seem to get the star one right, no matter how many different ways I put the pieces together and have the walkthough but still can't seem to get it. frown I also noticed that in looking for the coffin w/ the snake puzzle, it says to pull out the one that is second from the left on the bottom row. Not sure why, but it doesn't seem to be the one, and after trying all of the coffins, I can't seem to get any of them to "work".

I'd love some help you guys--I'd forgotten how much these puzzles drove me crazy--LOL. I feel like there is a special trick or something to getting them right that I'm just missing. sigh...

Thanks SO much everyone!
Tracy (who is so in love w/ the rest of the game she wants to move into the Manor)

Make sure you are working with the correct coffins. One thing that gets players confused is not understanding that you can take the plates off the coffins and move them to a different coffin, if needed. Just because the plate is on the coffin does not necessarily mean it is the right coffin. You need to move it to the coffin that matches the clue that came with the drawing.

Oh thank you, Marian. I didn't realize that you can take the plates off of the coffins! I'm going to go give this a try now-thanks again! wink
