hi Boomers,
I just installed a new pc (HP Pavilion with Windows 10 pro) I'm trying download and install some various game websites, but I would like to know from you the full name for the ZODIAC site. doing a search for it isn't working for me. I already have installed STEAM and GOG. All I need now is ZODIAC since I have an active "library" there. Thanks in advance.
Sandy

I'm wondering if they've gone out of business or something. I just opened up my zodiac server to see if I could find out and it won't connect. I opened it up in off line mode and it keeps trying to connect but fails continually.

hi John, That sounds strange, but if you or any other Boomer could give me the full name of that server, I might be able to at least download the app. Thanks
Sandy

http://www.zodiac-store.com/

I just received an email from them 2 days ago about a sale they're having. I believe the above link is what you want Sandy.

What happened to your beloved dinosaur?

I don't know what you mean by "server" but the web archive link to the Zodiac home page is here
https://web.archive.org/web/20160324170809/http://www.zodiac-store.com/
You won't get any client to work with that though.

The www.zodiac-store.com website is down at the moment, with a strange message in Italian displayed instead of the normal website. I have no idea if they're down for good or if they're just updating something.

That is also the link I have. It looks like they might be having problems with the store or they changed.
It links to Zen-cart.

My beloved Dinosaur is now history, oldbroad LOL
Sandy

Thanks, Jenny.
I just installed my new WIN 10 Pro pc, and I thought THAT was the problem and not ZODIAC.
I feel better now. I hope it returns so I can install it again. Lots of games there in my Library.
If you hear that it has "returned", please keep us ALL posted. I DID see "ZEN-CART, but I have no idea what THAT is

Hi Cookie,
Thanks for that link. I finally was able to download and install Zodiac, but when I tried to connect to the server, : "Server is unreachable". Just tried it again a few minutes ago, so that's the latest for now.

www.zodiac-store.com also works.

They are doing some maintenance on their website.
They have this notice up

Quote:
NOTICE FOR ALL USERS
There is an ongoing extraordinary maintenance work on our servers. Because of this, you may experience problems with the Zodiac client software. We are working to return to normal activity in the shortest possible time. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Server was the wrong choice of words. I meant the Zodiac application that you have on your desktop like the Steam app etc. I'm not sure what the correct terminology is but anyway it has since connected.

Thanks very much, Mad. I sure AM enjoying my new "toy". Makes me wonder as to why I didn't purchase a new one a long time ago. Some seniors just don't like to make changes, I guess. LOL
OK! The truth is that my two sons bought it for me for Father's Day. Maybe now I'll keep them. LOL
BTW, I just ordered from Amazon: "Windows 10 For Dummies, Senior's Edition". Does that tell you something?

But, sanford, I'm still sorry to hear of the the passing of your beloved old XP! I still haven't given up on my old friend which is housed in another computer case... I only use it for the occasional game that won't play anywhere else and it feels like driving a tank after driving a Porsche!

You also have a great resource right on your computer called Get Started. If it's not in your Start menu, just type in Get Started in Cortana.

You BET I do, Mad------ the BEST.
and Drac, I buried my old, OLD, toy. I loved that PC, as you know, but NOW, on my new PC, I can play many games now that would never work on that "Dinosaur". I just played and finished "Prominence", and now I stated
"Evan Carter". WOW, look what I've been missing. Drac, I should have taken your advice many moons ago. lol

Ha, ha! I'm glad you are finally getting to play great games like Ethan Carter. I know I would have hated to miss out on so many of the new games... but we still like our old dinosaurs!
