I didn't know that there was a Perry Mason radio series before the TV series based on Erle Stanley Gardner's books.
Then I found radio episodes on youtube.
The radio series is very different from the TV series. First off it was daily M-F in 15 minute installments. And after roughly 6 hours of such episode they are still on the same case. Its frustrating actually.
The radio series is part court room drama, part action and part soap opera which is why they can't seem to end one case.
In the books and the TV series Perry bends the law to defend his clients. In the radio series he breaks it. Going so far as to have his client break jail and fake her suicide while he goes on the lamb because the prosecutor figured out he's behind the escape.
I have no idea how he's going to clear himself, so he can get back in the court room to proof his client is innocent. And she is. The prosecutor who thinks he's so clever is being led by the nose by dishonest women, including the actual murderer. This guy is not Hamilton Burger, who was basically a honest man, but just kept prosecuting the wrong people. The radio version in my opinion should be the one up on charges for his unethical behavior in trying to prove the accused guilty at any cost.
Edit:
^&*(_)+&()O_P the person who posted these episodes didn't actually have the ending of this case and didn't bother to mention it. So I wasted 6 hours.
