I am Mac-based and love adventure/puzzle games. While there are certainly more available now than there used to be, many games are still only for Windows. The Mac games I've enjoyed recently that spring to mind include The Mystery of Haunted Hollow and Anna's Quest. Ones I'm on the fence about--fun but not interesting enough to finish--include Deponia, Heaven's Hope, Blackwell Legacy and The Night of the Rabbit. Casual games I liked (and finished) include Azada, Invasion I and II, 9 Elefants (even with all the bugs!).

If anyone knows of similar good Macintosh games, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks!

Hi, I hope that someone can come up with some good suggestions for you. And if you want to discuss possible casual games, I would suggest making a new post in the Casual Games forum. wave

If you liked Blackwell Legacy, check the other Blackwell games.
They are currently 80% off at GOG, and I'm mainly linking to GOG webpages because they are currently having such a good sale. After the sale is over you may want to check other sites like Big Fish or wherever you like to buy from.

https://www.gog.com/game/blackwell_bundle

The "Blackwell Bundle" includes the first four games in the series
Blackwell Legacy,
Blackwell Unbound,
Blackwell Convergence, and
Blackwell Deception.

Blackwell Epiphany is the last in the series and is sold separately from the "Bundle"
https://www.gog.com/game/blackwell_epiphany_the

And you might also check out other games from Wadjet Eye including
Resonance
https://www.gog.com/game/resonance

Gemini Rue
https://www.gog.com/game/gemini_rue
(note -- Gemini Rue has some action in it, particularly the "stompers" toward the end)

Primordia (this one is a favorite of mine among Wadjet Eye Games)
https://www.gog.com/game/primordia

Technobabylon
https://www.gog.com/game/technobabylon
also available as a "Deluxe"
https://www.gog.com/game/technobabylon_deluxe_edition

Shardlight
https://www.gog.com/game/shardlight
also available as a "Special Edition"
https://www.gog.com/game/shardlight_special_edition

The Shivah (a remake of one of his first games)
https://www.gog.com/game/the_shivah

---------------------------

Most of the games from Amanita have Mac versions, including

Botanicula
https://www.gog.com/game/botanicula

Machinarium

Samarost series, which you can read about here
http://amanita-design.net/games.html

https://www.gog.com/game/samorost_3

-----------------------------

Perils of Man had a Mac version

----------------------------------

Since you say you liked Night of the Rabbit, check

Whispered World
https://www.gog.com/game/the_whispered_world_special_edition

Book of Unwritten Tales
https://www.gog.com/game/the_book_of_unwritten_tales

Book of Unwritten Tales 2
https://www.gog.com/game/the_book_of_unwritten_tales_2_almanac_edition

Dark Eye: Memoria one of my favorite relatively recent games
https://www.gog.com/game/memoria
I don't think the previous game, Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav was made for Mac, but it's not necessary to have played it to enjoy Memoria.

There are 4 Deponia games now, so if you missed one you could play that. This is the latest one:

-----------------

Many old "classics" like The Dig have been configured to automatically use either ScummVM or DOSBox so they run without configuration.

However they may look or sound better with a few tweaks.
