I am really stuck. I am in what I believe to be the 3rd Interlude where the little girl Saga, now looks like a preteen and she finds her dad's glasses and puts them on.
I have found the wards. one is on the ceiling in the living room, one is in her bedroom on the photograph and the other is on the brick wall. I've touched the suitcase, trowel, drawing, photo in the living room, window in the living room, scratches on the floor, the rocket, books and unfinished painting in the bedroom but still nothing is happening.
What am I missing? I can't get out of this house and onto Book 5.
I read on some walkthrough there there is supposed to be a locket that takes me to the next realm, but I don't have it.
I've found videos on Youtube, but it doesn't help me.
Anyone have any idea what I am missing?
Can I somehow skip this part? I'd like to get on with Book 5.

I am not familiar with this game, so can't do anything besides refer you to a walkthrough.

No locket in my inventory. Only dad's eye glasses, that's the only thing I have in inventory. Where do I get the locket?

Nevermind, instead of trying to figure it out, I am going to load the game where it starts and play the whole interlude from the beginning and hope that works.

UPDATE:
Went back to the beginning of this part and did everything again but no opening to the new realm. I have a feeling that Book 5 was never installed in my game yet!
I have the game on GoG and on Steam and still no Book 5.

The locket should show up in your inventory if you've found the memories for all the wards. Check this video here at about 42 minutes in - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cJPM530...dS9YVz_CghIP2x. You can also go back to check earlier in the video to make sure you've chosen all the correct memories. Does Saga comment that she found all the wards when you are finished? If she hasn't said this yet, the locket will not show up. Whether or not Book 5 is loaded should not prevent you from completing Book 4.

As for Book 5, have you tried logging out of Steam and logging back in? I know for some people, this is the only way they can get their games to update. If that doesn't work, you may want to make sure you don't have the automatic updates unchecked. If you do, go ahead and check that box, and hopefully your update should download. As for GOG, it will have to be downloaded manually. My account says it's updated, so you'll just have to download the entire file once more. It should be the newest copy that includes Book 5. A tip, however - you may want to keep a copy of your current GOG version that only includes Book 1-4 if you want to keep the original Book 1. Red Thread has made many cuts, and personally, I feel it was better in its original form.

Thanks Venus. I had tried logging out and back in to Steam last week but still no Book 5, but I tried it again just now and it finally downloaded. Don't know why it took an extra week to update, but at least I have it now.
I think that's why I couldn't finish the interlude because as soon as Steam updated, I was able to finish and enter into the next realm and finally start Book 5.

Glad you got it sorted out, UruKat! Strange that Steam took so long to update the game for you. Not sure why it was being so difficult. You should have been able to finish the interlude regardless, though. I finished Book 4 long before Book 5 came out. Maybe you just hit a glitch or something. Did Saga comment on finding all the wards and her locket glowing before? Either way, it doesn't matter now, I suppose, since you can finally move on.

Yes Venus, once Book 5 was uploaded I was able to get Saga's locket to glow and went into the next realm. Must have been a glitch. I always seem to have problems whenever Dreamfall updates a new Book.
But....the good news is, I have it working now and I am going to love it!
