Hey guys,

So, Dragonsphere repeatedly freezes right at the part where Pip turns into a bear and breaks off the King Popsicle.

He just places the king down and the game loads forever.

I've checked a bit and the only thing I could find was changing the CPU core, but I am using the most up to date version.

I was hoping to get some help or find someone willing to send me a save file right after that part if possible.

Thanks!

welcome to GameBoomers.

Are you playing the CD version of the game or are you playing it as a digital download?

There's a thread here on GOG about freezing problems while playing Dragonsphere, with one or more possible solutions mentioned.

Otherwise, let's wait for the techies to help you out here. If you still need a saved game after that, you can ask for a saved game over in the Adventure Game Hints & Help forum.

Did you check whether the line in the DOSBox configuration file for the game still had "core" set to "dynamic"? I'd check that configuration file, even if GOG claims to have fixed it. The "fix" was to change the line to "auto".

I think the line is about 1/4 of the way through the configuration file and is

core=auto

If it's

core=dynamic

then change it.

I've already tried both.

I played through the game 3 times and managed to get through after a complete reinstall.

Ty for the help anyway.
