Trying my hand at this one now.
A very tentative start - hoping to stay alive - whilst I get used to the controls

So .... Does anyone know where I can find the saved games ??
I'm playing the GOG version on a Win7 Enterprise machine.
I've looked in the most usual places but come up blank

I am not sure where GOG puts the saved games, but I found this online as a possible location:

Username\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin\Savegames

Marian that's almost it. It is Documents\larian studios\divinity original sin enhanced edition\player profiles\(your character name)\Savegames

I had to go to my documents folder to check it out.

I've enjoyed the game so far so was hoping that, unlike Risen 3, I wouldn't come up against anything I couldn't manage

I'm just about to leave Cyseal for Luculla Forest and the only thing I haven't completed in this first part of the game (I think) is the quest involving the two wishing wells.

I went to Hiberheim and spoke to the second well but couldn't see anything I could actually do. So I looked at a walkthrough and it mentioned a chest under a tree in the NW corner of the scene.
But there isn't a chest there
[And my "perception should be high enough to see it !!]

Has anyone else experienced this ??

Mad, did you break the 3 elementals out of the ice or am I looking at the wrong part of the game?

Thanks for responding but that doesn't seem familiar to me, so maybe I'm not far enough into the game yet.
This is my first dabble with the two wishing wells.

I think I'll just play on for now and maybe try coming back to the quest later.
[Always assuming I will be able to return, of course ]

Well, I got that by googling and watching a youtube video where they showed the location of the 3 ice elementals and said you had to get them out before you could do the chest, but it's possible I was looking at a different location. It can be hard to tell.

Since I posted last, I did a bit more searching myself and found a person who said the "enhanced" version of the game differs form the original for this particular quest and that there isn't a chest now in the location where I'm looking.

Apparently I have to play more of the game before I can solve the queat.
So maybe that's what you have found, looney4labs ?? The "new" bit of play ??

Hi everyone. I had a quick question about this game, so I thought I'd post here, if that's okay. I was at GameStop tonight and on a whim, bought this game for the PS 4. While I was looking online for guides and stuff, I saw screenshots of a HUGE spider, and now I'm wondering if I'll be able to play this game. I am petrified of spiders, big time, and so I wanted to you guys if there are a lot of them in the game, and if there are ways to get through the game while sort of avoiding them?

I need to find a way to destry lava in places where there is no room to get around it OR teleport past it.
It's driving me MAD And any advice would be very much appreciated.

However, I think we've been "googling" the same sites !!

I don't have a problem where the lava is coming up through vents and have already successfully used cooking pots or the like.
And I know about two spells - Tornado and Winged Feet - that should work on extensive coverings of lava.
But, I haven't found either for sale anywhere or amongst loot I've picked up.

I'm hoping I won't have to give up on the game because I've been enjoying it but if I can't get past this problem I'm stymied good an' proper

Mad, you have checked all the vendors in Cyseal? I thought perhaps I'd find a list of who sold what, but so far no luck!

I'm looking for lists myself, looney4labs, and not just for local merchants....

In the meantime I'm traipsing round and everywhere I go and everyone I click on will be thoroughly inspected as regards trading !!

Tornado is a adept level spell, I think probably sold in Homestead, after you open that room. Silverglen has good spells, merchants in the tavern. My Jahan is level 14 and has it, probably found in Silverglen because I dont have that room in Homestead yet. Or a random found??? Can't remember, I started this game game a long time ago but I play it only once in a while. Gamefaqs.com the Walkthrough for Div O Sin { written by jedi567} has a list of merchant at the bottom of the page. Not many places for merchants in this game, not a very long list.

Well, after LOTS of traipsing I am unable to locate any item or spell that will dispose of lava so I'm seriously considering going back to a very early save and playing this game slightly differently or even starting over completely with different characters

It's actually nice going over old ground though now that I know better what I ought to be doing !!

What kind of character did you make?

I decided to keep my two "created" characters, looney4labs, and not start a completely new game. They are a fighter type and a wizard type.

So I've restored a very early save - where I've just got out of the tutorial dungeon.

But I intend to choose different companions (when they become available) and see if that helps turn the game round somewhat

I have been throwing games out that after hours of trying just one will not play at all, just not my trying, I look at all sites game sites, gog, all of them, strange I can get Dungeon Siege to play, all of them so it is not fair, many so many have gone that I truly love to play. I have not tried Divine Divinity but does anyone know it if will play on 10, most I am giving away the real old ones are going in the garbage, thanks Mad I bought a game from Gog today planescpe today terrible waste of $10.00 just not my kind of game. Oh how I wish it were 15 years ago. !!!! Not sure Syberia will play but it did on my 7.
And I still wish they would come out with another one.

I got it from a trader I visited umpteen times in my original play but she never had it then

edit: Maggie, there is a thread in Glitches about which games are confirmed to play on Windows 10. I did not see Divine Divinity in that list, but you might give it a read.

According to a high-ranking mod on one of the Divine Divinity forums, the game will run on Windows 10.
