Said no one who spent it in a hospital ever! Ms Healthy Work too Much Old Woman was in the hospital from late Friday afternoon to noon today! I am the world's worst when it comes to ignoring when I hurt myself... because I'm always hurting myself down at the Rescue Ranch or in the gardens! But when this 'not being able to breathe thing' got worse, I listened to my body. So I have had a bilateral pulmonary embolism and unfortunately I STILL have multiple blood clots in my legs just waiting to run up to my lungs and have a party. I'm on Lovenox shots and Coumadin. Plus they are all VAMPIRES there! VAMPIRES I say! I have no blood left! Luckily I have all that experience playing Vampire Bloodlines under my belt. I feel perfectly fine with no discomfort at all which makes it even harder to just sit and lay around! This is so NOT ME!

The Doctor released me today. He said usually someone who still had clots in their legs would be kept for some time, but I was doing so well he couldn't justify keeping me. So I will be giving myself the Lovenox injections and taking the Coumadin. I will need daily blood work until they get my blood thinner level regulated.

The best thing is going to be taking a shower in my own bathroom! Whoopie!

Arrraaghhh! What a horrible weekend and terrible time you had. Thank goodness you got the to hospital where they could make you feel better. So sorry that you aren't up to par. Definitely take the doctor's orders! WE are all watching you.

When do you go back to the doc's to find out if you are ok??

I have an appointment late tomorrow afternoon. I am a long way from being OK, Winfrey! As long as the blood clots in my legs remain, the danger remains for them to move to the lungs. That's why I am giving myself the Lovenox injections twice a day - to dissolve the existing clots - and Coumadin to keep the blood thin enough so new ones form. A lot of monitoring is in my future!

I think the Lovenox shots must be doing SOMETHING as far as dissolving the blood clots. Last night when I went upstairs to go to bed, I was barely winded. Before I had to sit down and catch my breath for at least a minute. Hopefully, that means it is also dissolving the blood clots in my legs!
