well, I'm going to have to go through it without any re-spawn points. frown Dang. mad I took the game off my computer and reloaded it to hopefully delete the "save" wherever it was. It didn't work, rolleyes so I'll just have to try to go through it without re-spawning. woozy It means if I fall off anywhere I'll have to close the entire game down and restart it. eek I've already done that several times. Wish me luck! wave

Well I got all the way through the Ur Werk to the first lever and I cannot activate the lever, so I guess my game is corrupt. duh The Ur Werk does not operate at all for me. frown So I'm going to have to quit the game. Sadness. frown Thanks everyone for their tremendous help. thanks

No, dogpenny, the lever will not operate at all. The respawn points will not work either. I found the savegame file and deleted it. Re-played the first three up to Ur Werk and still nothing in Ur Werk will come alive smile Oh, well, I tried. Thanks again for the support.

Tvoe, I know you probably already tried this, but just in case....

Did you check the disk for dirt or scratches? Maybe even if there is nothing visible, cleaning it would help?

I'm so sorry that this isn't just a case of being stuck and we weren't able to help you. frown

In another last ditch effort -- I've finished the game and could send you my save (assuming that you can tell me where to find it -- I looked at the Auryn Quest files and it wasn't obvious to me which was the save file).

When the game is finished, you can still replay all the sections -- all the powerballs reappear. I suspect you wouldn't get the ending video, but you could at least play further in the game.

Wanna try it?

Wow tvoe123,
Ouestions:
Did you read our WT?
You cannot turn off, else loose, you know. smile
You know the lever is at the first part of the UrWeck gears, correct? At the end, your back at the hut, after the Ferris Wheel. happydance
I have never heard of this problem, with pulsars! eek
So sorry that you got so far, only to run into to this. cry
I think, that we are missing something.

Melanie, yes I thought of that too and did clean the disc. Thought that perhaps an invisible Erdwin was blocking my progress, but alas it was not.
Rckasea, no I have not used any walkthroughs. Don't want to if I can avoid them. smile Yes, it is the first lever at the beginning of the Ur Werk. It opens the bars that sit between two gears after you jump over the railing. I cannot progress further until those bars are opened. I'm assuming that the lever opens them. I cannot get to the end of the Ur Werk so thus have not seen a ferris wheel. I see that you are a Dean Koontz fan. ME TOO! I now have to use a card listing the books of his that I have already read when I'm in book stores. Love his work.
Becky, that sounds like a great idea. The file you are looking for reads: savegame.aqs Open your Explorer. Click on your C drive, then click on Program Files, then click on the file called Auryn Quest. You should see the savegame.aqs file there. Email it to me and I'll try it and see how far I get from that. Great idea. I would really like to play the entire game so maybe that will help me. Even if someone can play the game up through Ur Werk, then email me that savegame.aqs, I could continue on from there. Thanks everyone for the help. thanks

Thanks for the instructions tvoe -- I'll send the save next.

One more thought though (there's ALWAYS one more thought, right?).

If you are where I think you are, you don't have to use the lever.

I think you've just come through some revolving rings, right? After exiting the rings you're on a platform with three bars that you can walk on.

Take the left bar.

Near the end of the bar, turn left and run/jump to the stationary gear. In front of you is the first Squasher. It is now possible to run/jump through this area to your goal. (You have bypassed the area with the lever completely.)

Yea! I got to do the last two! bravo Becky, thank you for the saved game. I tried to go down to Ur Werk from your save and the game stopped all together. frown However, the second time I started the game I bypassed the Ur Werk and did the rest of the wandering mtn. Then, I went back to the temple (instead of collecting all 10 balls in the wandering mtn.) and continued with omega to finish this game. The only part I dont really know about is Ur Werk.
Melanie, that is a good idea. I'll play the game up to Ur Werk and if it does repeat not working, I'll send the saved game to you, okay? You can take a look at it and see if there is something that is happening in the game or if it is just something with my computer? I really appreciate the support. thanks
