I really think it's a bug at this point - something that didn't trigger. It happaned again in the game: I had 2 receive a phone call and I didn't receive because when it had 2 happen I was calling somebody myself - then i waited but nothing, and I had 2 go back 2 the saved game.

Did you go into Linda's room and notice that she enjoys the Atkins diet?
And did you ask that lady in the conservatory about her allergy pills?

I exhausted all the dialogs. Linda doesn't want 2 talk 2 me. I have the charm on her door.
Ms Drake also has nothing 2 say, the same for phone contacts and Hugh.

And yep, I saw the horrible raw meat and saw the hairy hand through the hole.
I'm a bit fed up, maybe somebody can send me a saved game b4 the alchemy lab???
Maybe somebody who has already found some of the objects...

Ehm, 4get it - I'm doing it myself. I restarted from a previous game.
I think the problem was:I scared Nigel moving the statue BEFORE discovering the alchemy lab, this means he couldn't gimme a hint on it so I could not enter.
But u said Ethel should talk about this snake too? I did not meet her.

I think the only one that you need to get the snake info from is Nigel. You are correct that you have to finish talking and doing things with Nigel before you move the statue Lally.

That's weird because I remember my daughter playing the game and the statue moving. It was a similar situation, Lally.

We couldn't find Nigel. We had other things left to do, like making sure that the pipes in the columns were draining the oil. We also checked out that hole after the "Weird Ethyl and Jane Ceremony" as well as other stuff I mentioned.

Lally, I don't think it's a problem with the game. It is just the way the game must be played in this area. If you haven't taken the typing test and talked to Nigel about everything and gotten the coat of arms before you move the statue and frighten him into leaving, you won't see him again. A lot of us made the same mistake and had to go back to a save before we touched the knights fingers.

I had tghe coat of arms and talked to him, but didn't talk to him about the snake because I still didn't get through the planets riddle.
I scared him THEN got in front of alchey door.
How could I know that I would need him again?
To me it sounds like a bug. I mean: IMHO a programmer should have put a message in the knight (something like "I don't have anough information to play with it now") to prevent u from scaring Nigel.
