If this question is out of your realm perhaps you can direct me to another site.
I purchased a TEAC cd player that has a USB port. My goal was to play a lot of songs without changing cd's. The flash drive was formatted to fat32 as/per the manual. The problem is I have about 27 songs on the flash but only 14 will play.27 songs was sort of a trial run.
1).The files were ripped from purchased factory cd's with windows media player.
2).All came out in the wma format and all work on the flash drive in my car so I know they will play.
3).I tried 2 different flash drives with same result.
4).When I do a properties check they all look exactly the same.
5).I tried it with and without folders with same results.
6).WMA is an acceptable format for TEAC.
I am sort of stumped as to why I have this problem. Any ideas?

Was any of the music from copy protected CD's? I ran into a problem with a couple of older Bonnie Raitt CD's... I could rip the music and transfer it to a flash drive, but it wouldn't play. It's been a few years ago, but I do remember there being some kind of message to that effect.

However, if they all play in your car, that's probably not it. I'm a bit stumped too!

Once again, weeds are my life!

Maybe try ripping the music with a different program, or rip to something other than wma. Maybe ripping to mp3 files would work better.

I have converted them to mp3 but I don't give that much hope. I will try it later.

Update:
The mp3 format works! I don't know why the wma didn't because the manual says both should work.
