Back to my replay of the Dracula series.

Stuck trying to pick lock in Istanbul. I checked the walkthrough. It says that the tension tool can be moved up and down by click-hold-move. I cannot get it to move. What's the trick?

GOG version if that makes any difference.

Thank you.

Never mind. I got it. I closed the game and went back in but meanwhile I found on GOG that somebody else had the same problem. Maybe I did not move the pick first before trying to move the tool or maybe the game just needed to be restarted.

At the start, the tension tool (the one at right side) is at upmost position. So when you do click-hold the mouse and then move - it will be only going down. It should be moved in increments only. Not sure if it is noticeable.
The inserted lockpick (the one on the left) moves more prominently.

hi Mag and Oldbroad,
I had a hard time tackling that "lockpick" puzzle as well. It took many tries for me to get it right, but I finally DID, and then was able to continue playing the game to it's ending. -----BTW, for the second time, since I originally played it when it first when it was released some time ago. HAPPY GAMING!
Sandy
