I am at the point where I need to summon the spirit.I got stuck so I read the walk through and it says to put the EL paper from the drawer on the pentagram. Also the EL ashes,diamond and the herb from the drawer above the garlic. Then light it on fire to summon the spirit. After the fire burns nothing happens. What have I done wrong ?

I have not played the game but read through Doug's wt and it seems several ingredients are difficult to identify and he does cautions you about them - so verify that the herb or jewel or ashes are the right ones. Best to replay this part or go back and get new ones. Reread the descriptions of those ingredients to be sure. Good luck!

MaG is right, every detail must be correct. Be very careful about which herb you select - the one you need is in a drawer with a smudged label.

It's on the right side of the cabinet, third from the bottom (I think)

Be sure you put the charcoal and styrax in the incense burner and light them, before doing the other part.

Be sure you really have the correct ashes. There are thousands of jugs in the room, and the one you need is on the very far left row.
