I bought "Blood Oath" 5 years ago, so it's at least that old. Big Fish and Gamehouse don't seem to sell it anymore, so there may have been too many problems getting it working on current versions of Windows.

The ***July 12, 2014 web archive page*** for Blood Oath does list Windows 8, so you're right that it used to work in Windows 8. But maybe some Windows update disabled it?

I assume you've tried adjusting compatibility mode for it -- disabling display scaling, running as Administrator, the usual troubleshooting.

I thought you meant you got an error when trying to start the game, not 3/4 of the way to the end.

yes i am using big fish walkthrought, i was near the end of chapter 3, i delete my profile. it is working, but my cursor is flicking.

At least it is working now.
Sometimes I get the flickering cursor on games that were made for an older version of Windows. You may have to put up with it. Hopefully you won't have a problem with the blankets this time.
