Has anyone out there except Redraven written a complete, step-by-step walkthrough for The Space Bar? And what gives with the Adventure Games site of LShaw? is it still down? Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou, Never has getting a character to board a bus been so difficult, but try this: When Thud finds the token the the cup and holds it, you (as Fleebix) should tell him to board the bus when it pulls up. He will forget to take you with him but will promise to do it next time.
Open the PDA inventory, click on the token, and tell Thud to pick it up. Click on the Fleebix icon in the lower lefthand corner to wait 1X, then turn to face the street. The Glom Hole bus (the wrong one) should arrive and Thud should get on with Fleebix.

Thanks LK for your hint/tips, don't know how or why but being persistent with your suggestion finally paid off after 2+ days, and we 'got on the bus' now am playing hide-n-seek in-out of that big box and yes I am enjoying this game, not going to let it get me frustrated but going to try to finish it this time around. Funny game..... Love, Betty Lou P.S. I'll be back, as Arnold says, when I get stuck again

Well, I didn't expect to find myself 'stuck' so soon - I seem to be in a loop of ending up (in the box) at the wrong destination and they open the box and arrest use (detain us), so how do I get this to work so I can "after things quiet down exit the box"? HELP! please Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou, I have not played the game, although I have it somewhere... Maybe UHS hints might help also. I'll see if I can pick up on the wt where you are. Check if something here might help.

Betty Lou, I assume you got the letter from the mailbox with the label inside, stuck the label on the box, and got the navigation dial from the plane crash.
Wait inside the box until the mail truck picks it up. Exit the box and tell Thud to open the small box and take the crystal. Stash the crystal and go back into the box. Wait until the voices stop (click Fleebix icon 8 times), then exit box. Click on the navigation dial in inventory and tell Thud to pick it up and put it on the scooter peg. Get back in the box and wait (click icon 6Xs). When Neblitzi says something about the goggles and leaves, exit the box and tell Thud to set the dial to 42. Thud sets it wrong but you don't have time to reset it. Get back in the box. When the voices stop, get out of the box, and you'll be at Quantelope Lodge. Evidently, Thud's mistake is counteracted by a mistake by the driver.

But I have done all that, and get discovered at the wrong address, never do end up at QL. So I guess I have to try from the previous save to see if I can get the desired result, don't know what else to do..... Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou, While you're in the truck after being picked up at the mailbox, you need to hear the destination code (42) being discussed.
You're supposed to arrive at the wrong destination at first. I assume you keep getting caught there. The key is to time your waits using the Fleebix icon. If you go out too soon or too late, you'll get caught.
When the characters outside leave to get a new navigation dial, have Thud drop your navigation dial outside by the scooter and get right back into the box. They will come back and leave again to get the goggles. Exit the box, zoom in on the scooter control panel, have Thud set the navigation dial to 42. Get back in the box and you should end up in front of the lodge near a clock.

I must have done something in the wrong order because even tho I arrive at the wrong destination and DO NOT EXIT the box I still get discovered/caught and arrested/detained. Will go back and redo it again from a previous save. Thanks Love, Betty Lou

You will find this game a more than a little trying if you don't keep a good sense of humor going, it is really a very funny game. I'm not sure what 'triggered' me/Thud getting on the bus "finally" but now I am stuck in a refrigerator box getting discovered and arrested, have to start back an earlier saved game to replay and get out of this 'loop'. It does remind me tho of how little kids love LARGE boxes to play with/in I have found several other games to play in between frustrations with this one to keep me wanting to come back to it. Love, Betty Lou

Hi Denny. I haven't played this game but I'll try to help you. After you placed a crystal did you turn a knob? If you push the yellow knob, what reading do you get?

Denny, from what I can tell, the knob has to be turned after you place each crystal. Then push the yellow button to see whatyour status report is. Looks like all positions should read o. Then Thud should press the green button and then the blue one. It says that the clock should now be reset. I hope this will work for you. Please tell me what or who "Thud" is........interesting name.
Sue

THUD is a LARGE lizardlike character who appears to be almost totally "clueless" about just about everything and he cannot remember to do more than one thing at a time and then not for very many seconds........ His "companion" is a "thingy" he carries around in an empty (mayonaise) jar whose appendages (arms and legs) are too weak to be of any use to him and this "thingy" is the brains of the duo.... Denny, With the 5 crystals in inventory, give Thud one (not the one from the box) and have him put it in a slot. Tell him to pull the lever and then press the red, green, and blue buttons. If the yellow button flashes, have Thud press the white button again and try another crystal. The bad one won't trigger the yellow button and is the one that needs to be replaced. Have him put the 5 good crystals in the five slots by turning the knob each time to bring up an empty slot. Order him to pull the lever and press the red, green, and blue buttons to restart the clock. Sue, Thud is a Salivraster. Salivrasters are sweet and very strong, but all are several apples short of a bushel. One rule of thumb is never offer to play catch with a Salivraster.

You have to take the routes that will use up the least amount of fuel, Denny. Choose the shortest routes that get rid of heavy cargo as soon as possible.
I have the correct routes written down if you're really stuck. You might want to save your game before you begin in case you have to restart.

TL you really should locate a copy of this game and try it, it's a HOOT! I am enjoying this 'back and forth' as much as I am playing the game. Mmmmmm, I really must put aside my sewing and Club business and get back to this game, gotta find a way to get this huge refrigerator box delivered to the Lodge correctly without getting arrested! What fun! Love, Betty Lou
