I am stuck. have 2 pieces of the letter, 2 cards, and 2 things that look like Rubiks cube. Where is the clue for the combination behind the pic?

I found the bit of letter in the first room, but where did you find the other bit--I counldn't get passed the 2nd room.

JB - the clue is at the upside down room.

The 4th room, its upside down and I haven't figured how to get it right side up, has a photo that matches the picture frame-it has letters under it that must corespond to the code but it beats me so far

You can move the cubes and cards out of your inventory and into the rooms--opening the doors has to do with the cube.

I know Iknow but I'm confused--should the symbol for the middle room be in the middle of the cross or should the grey card or agghhh

Order of rooms visited...as in the squares are numbered....did you get IN the grey room yet? I didn't until the box was completed.

Ok I got it -- that was fun, I didn't get in the grey room until the box was completed, I just thought for some reason(???) the grey card should go in the middle of the cross box.

Logical thinking. I thought so, too. That's probably why it wasn't. Fun though!

I have the card from the first room, the card and cube from the 2nd room how do I get to the 3rd room I have clicked the cube on the closed doors and the cards on the closed doors and the doors dont open. Can game be saved so you dont have to pick up the items over and over? Thanks for any help given.

This game was made harder because it wasn't easy hitting the "hot spots" with the hand cursor just right to cause action. In the second room, there is a door next to the hat and coatrack. Click your cube on the gizmo to the left of the door. You should see the cube appear to stay in the gizmo, but still be in your "inventory". You should be able to click on the door to get to room three.

Well, that was clever and fun! Did anyone else find the picture inscription too faint? I had a very difficult time seeing it. At first I thought it was my browser, but now I think it was just that my screen was too bright. Anyway, thanks for posting that, Sassafras. I enjoyed it.

Is there a way to save your game? I got into 3 rooms. Used the zoom feature and sometimes you get an open hand cursor to move things, but lost the progress when I clicked on something else. Kat

I didn't find any save feature of the game. It's short enough that you can play through fast to where you need to be. Have fun!

Ah, ha. Got there, now have to figure out how to get the cards in the open box and find the last part of the letter.

hi all i found this game a while back but could'nt put the cube together so i only got to the firt to rooms - is there something i am missing plus i only found the card in the chest of draws at the start - any little tips pretty please - a frustrated safc - ps just loaded legacy - dark shadows

The cubes, except the last, will automatically assemble themselves when you find all the pieces. You'll have to search carefully. Check the floor cracks, the radiators, EVERYTHING. The hot spots are small. Good Luck!

Dutch, you need the next cube to put in that device just like the last. All items needed are in this office room. Did you pick up any notes that you could read for a hint? The clock holds what you need.

i have got three pieces of the the cube in room one plus a card why cant i put the cube together - could it be i am looking in the wrong direction - safc

Kay, if you've put the cube with cards together then all you need is to enter the door with the circle & dot in the center. That's what that cube is for. The door is in the kitchen/dining room. Upstairs is the final piece of the note on a door. If you can't exit you probably are missing a piece of the note. If you have all pieces of the torn note, click on them each individually & they will assemble. This is your ticket out!

Safc, try going in the door left of the dresser with the radio on it in the first hallway room. You might find more things in there that will help you. You don't put the cube together. You just find the pieces & it will assemble itself. The first cube requires 4 pieces. The first piece you found in the hallway room & 3 more from the living room. Do you want a spoiler where the pieces are?

I am stuck in the kitchen I don't have a cube for that room and I have a cross that is still black.

There's still another inventory in this room found at the other shelving by the door-table.
Do the cross puzzle by placing the door symbols on it... and you'll move forward then.

I need some help with the cards and the cross. I have all the cards. I have put them on the cross in the order that I found them...and nothing happens. I've rearranged the cards for the past 2 hours over and over again...and nothing happens.

I would really appreciate it if someone would tell me the correct color of card to place in each box on the cross beginning with zero.

May I assume that as soon as I arrange them in the correct order that I will know it??

Still cant find the cube in the clock I can move the hands but nothing happens when I do.

The clue for the clock is found at bottom of the filing cabinet at the office.

Did you get a piece of paper out of the bottom of the filing cabinet in the office? If so, look at it and note the part written in red. That is your clue for the clock.

Dutch, do you have a photo of the picture in the hall? On it is a code. It's very faint & difficult to see. Open the picture in the hall & there's a safe that requires a code. Think phone code.

jen - thanks for you reply i still cant find the first piece of the cube in the start room - i have found the piece by the radiator - one by the fire and one by the telephone - so i have in start room found 1 card - in room with the coat stand - 1 card and 3 pieces of cube - where is the first piece of the cube - i am now nearly bald with pulling my hair out - many thanks safc

Room 0 - card at bottom drawer, letter piece on floor, cube piece on radiator.
Room 1 - letter piece on coat pocket, card under sofa cushion, cube pieces on radiator, fireplace and phone. Makes a cube...

Dutch, Be sure you're using the correct numbers based on the clue as seen on a phone.

I have a really dumb question - I've been playing at this game for three nights now and can't figure out how to maneuver the cards and cube into the picture. Whenever I find something and click on it, it just disappears, as did the first cube I assembled. I'm still stuck in rooms 0 and 1, and have found everything there is to find in those two rooms (I think)

I've been able to examine everything in the inventory, have read the note, but just can't do anything with them. Where did they go, and what's with all the clanging gong sounds???

You place a cube on the shelf like thing beside a door to enter through that door. It is the 'key' for another room.
The cards are for a later puzzle.
I can't remember the gong sound at all.

Mag, my cube disappeared as soon as it assembled itself. I don't know where it went in order to put it on that little shelf.

The clanging noise seems to come from the flashing inventory items, and it changes rhythm whenever I find a piece.

The cube should be on the right columns of the screen. It covers the label of the room. You take and click it on the shelflike thing.

Thanks Mag, the problem was my browser. I switched over to IE and it's working find now. Now no more clanging, and when I find a piece it goes into my empty inventory box, and I can drag the pieces to where ever I need them.

I got into to bedroom, turned it right-side up, but now I can't find where to put my 3rd cube. I'm still looking.

One more question - I'm in the kitchen, can't find any inventory item in this room. I can't open any cupboard doors, and I think I know where the stairs are (to the right of the big cupboard???) but I can't go in there. I don't know where to find the cube or the cross - sure would appreciate another hint.

There's an item (card) at the open shelf right of the table. I think it is third right shelf.
Click the door of the cabinet that you thin is 'stairs'. It will close the door and the shelf behind it will show an item (cross).

I'm in the 3rd rm looking at the safe behind the picture. I have the little picture with the letters on the bottom, but the safe has numbers. I don't get it. I went back and checked the phone(there's only one right?)but I don't know what the clue is. I guess I need some help.

Look at your own phone and see the letters under the numbers. Have fun!

No, don't feel that way - I actually tried to solve it first by changing the letters to numbers like A is 1, B is 2, etc... That didn't work, so tried other ways. No, dear. We were making it more complicated than it should be.

At right book shelf, click on book at end of second from top shelf. It has the card.

I had to start over and now I can't find the piece of the cube in the 0 room. Where is it? MaG said it's on the radiator but I can't find it on either one. This is maddening.

OK Now I need 2 items in the bedroom but I can't find either one. I got into the kitchen ok and found what I needed there but I'm stuck in the bedroom. I need some help please.

Before you turn the bedroom correct side up - you should have gotten a paper from the floor.
Then when it is now right side up, I think the item is inside the side table. I'll replay.

--- Then use the cube you got from behind the safe-picture that turned the bedroom right side up under the cabinet on the other wall.

Hi MaGs, I did all that but I can't find what's in the side table. I got what was under the pillow. I've been upstairs also and now all I need is the item from the side table in the bedroom. It's all black in there. This is frustrating. Oh oh. Maybe I have to replay it. I can't remember if I got the paper from the floor when the room was upsidedown.

If you have been upstairs, then you should be able to go out.

Hi, everyone!

By the size of this thread, I figured "Doors" must be a pretty good little game, so I decided to give it a shot.

I've been able to access two rooms and have picked up cube pieces, letter pieces, a picture and a card. Unfortunately, I can't do anything with any of those items. I assume the picture contains the code for opening the safe, but when I press the corresponding numbers on a telephone dial, nothing happens. I also assume that I'm supposed to put the cube together, but I can't figure out how to do that. Ditto for the letter pieces.

Any hints to get me started?

Once the first set of pieces are collected, they will form a cube automatically. The rest will be preformed cubes. Since you got the picture you must already have accessed another room with a cube.
The letter pieces will be for later in the game.
If you entered the corrected numbers on the dial behind the picture, it should open.

I'm sure I entered the correct numbers on the dial, but nothing happens. I took the letters and entered the corresponding numbers on a telephone keypad.

I guess I must have missed some of the cube pieces because they didn't automatically form a cube.

Hi Susie,

The first cube is made up from the pieces:
from side of radiator in Room 0
fireplace in room 1,
telephone in room 1

Maybe, you should see the upside down room first before you can do the safe puzzle.

And the radiator in room 1, MaG.

Susan, that isn't a safe behind the picture, but a way for you to reach things that are above your head in another room. If you have the photograph of that picture, check the bottom of that photo very carefully, then look at a telephone keypad, then use the keypad behind the picture.
