I started this a while ago and abandoned it because I was stumped.
I had no probem getting through the first bit, but once I've taken the ship to the first Island in the game, I can't do anything.
I have a couple of quests only; to convince Patty to work for the chef, and to get the pirate his clothes. The problem is that I don't have the skills to do either quest -- and I have no way of increasing skills, because I have no money. I can't increase experience by exploring because the game surrounds you with deadly enemies immediately, and I can't fight them because...I have no fighting skills. In order to complete the pirate quest, I have to have thieving skills. But the pirate won't teach me because I have no money. I also need to fight someone for the same quest, but I have no fighting skills.
After a couple of hours of fruitless play, I looked at game guide, but the game guide assumes I have the means to increase skills so that I can accomplish the tasks.
Is this one of those games where if you choose the wrong character build right off the bat, you're hooped? I'm getting to the point where this is more hassle than fun. Or should I say, more boring than fun, which is not much of a recommendation for the game, is it?
EDIT: Never mind. It started freezing my computer and I just removed it. I have lots of games to play.
