I speak truth, not so much as I would, but as much as I dare; and I dare a little more, as I grow older.

CATHERINE DRINKER BOWEN

Me too, and boy does it get me in trouble. blush

``````````````````````
Two babies are sitting in their cribs, when one baby asks the other, “Are you a little girl or a little boy?”
The other baby shrugs. “I don’t know how to tell the difference.”
“I do,” says the first baby. He carefully climbs out of his crib and into the other crib, then disappears beneath the blankets. After a few seconds, he resurfaces.
“You’re a little girl, and I’m a little boy,” he says.
“How can you tell?”
“Easy. You’ve got pink booties, and I’ve got blue ones.”
````````````````

A police officer pulled over a guy for weaving across two lanes of traffic. He walked up to the driver’s window and asked, “You drinkin’?”

The driver said, “You buyin’?”

```````````````
As soon as the hospital made me put on one of those little gowns, I knew the end was in sight.
````````````````

Q: Why is the number six afraid of seven?

A: Because seven ate nine!

``````````````````
Q: Why are football stadiums so cool?
A: Because every seat has a fan in it!
```````````````

Q: Why did the bacteria cross the microscope?

A: To get to the other slide.

`````````````
Q: What did the doctor tell her invisible patient?
A: “I can’t see you today.”
`````````````

A lion comes across two men, one reading and the other writing. The beast pounces on and devours the reader but ignores the writer. Why? Because, as everyone knows, a writer cramps while a reader digests.

```````````````
Q: Why are frogs so happy?
A: They eat whatever bugs them.
`````````````````

Q: How do you get down from an elephant?

A: You don’t. You get down from a goose.

````````````````
During my mother’s memorial, my five-year-old granddaughter could not stop staring at the urn that contained her ashes.
“Is that really Great-grandma in there?” she asked her mother.
“Yes, it is.”
“Funny,” she said. “I always thought she was taller.”
``````````````

The Time Traveler Protest

T NOW! What do we want? MORE TIME-TRAVEL JOKES! When do we want them? RIGH

`````````````````````
Q: What do you call a parade of rabbits hopping backwards?
A: a receding hare-line.
``````````````

Old mathematicians never die; they just lose some of their functions.

`````````````````
Q: Why don’t Calculus majors throw house parties?
A: Because you should never drink and derive.
`````````````````````

Good morning everyboomie. welcome

It's still the weekend, and you're still welcome to it. thumbsup

I'm looking forward to some football, and another great day. yay

Do y'all ever get that Déjà vu feeling? headscratch

I'm gettin that old familiar feeling right now. razz

I'm not going to try to go to bed early tonight though. It's a waste of time, and I will make darned sure that Missy goes out and does her business right before we do go to bed. puppy

No 2am potty trot tonight. shame

Have a happy day everyone. rah

I'm exhausted after a long day of scraping wallpaper and washing walls. Today Comcast comes to fix two of my TV boxes and then I'll be going out trying to find a paint color I like.

Have a great day Joe and all!

Enjoy your game, Joe, and hope Missy sleeps past 2 am this time. smile

Hope Comcast shows up soon, and hope you find a great color, Ana. thumbsup

My voice lesson was difficult this time, and of course I got the lines we were practicing out perfectly tonight, after the lesson was over, and there was no one around to hear me. Well, not my voice teacher at any rate. lol Hopefully it will be something that will stick, and I can show it off next week. grin

Sunday will be a gaming day, since I have a long work week coming up. So I'll need my one day to relax before the chaos begins. grin

Hope everyone has a terrific Sunday. fall

Hello everybody. wave2

I thought I had come in and posted earlier, but I see I did not. slapforehead

Well I'm 'dog tired' again.......still. smirk

I was awake at 4:00am, and stayed that way until i finally got out of bed at 5:30. razz

Today it was the alarm in my bladder not the dogs, and it's hard to hit the snooze button on your bladder. taz

I had breakfast and coffee, and then took the girls to the park, and then went to Lowes to get some things to spruce up this place a little more. yay

When I got back I went over to the neighbors and brought Missy's brother Beau over here to play with her and Baby. They have had a super blast spreading their hair everywhere possible. puppy

Beau is the cutest thing, and he gets up on my chest, and tries to crawl up into my face and lick all the features right off of it. snicker

It's fun having 3 dogs in your lap vying for attention.

I'm watching another ball game while I wait for the Cowboy game to come on after 3:00.

I may need to sneak in a nap if the dogs will let me.

I hope you're all having a great day.

Ana I hope you have your TV back. Painting?? Did I start something? razz

joe

Yep Ana, saw all the reports of earthquakes near the Salton Sea. I lived near there for 9 years in my early teaching years. We had a huge quake in January of 1975 (just back from my honeymoon!) and HUNDREDS of quakes for months afterwards. It was so fun teaching school and deciding to evacuate our room or just crawl under tables as each one hit. After awhile, it became normal. Yeah, strange but true. We just shook and continued. They finally stopped but the damage from the first quake was huge. The city building in El Centro was badly damaged as it's supports were compromised. A road between two of the cities there was raised up about a foot or two and was impassible for weeks. I think they called it the Brawley quake or the El Centro Quake. It's been so long I've forgotten.

I'm not afraid of quakes. Live in a strong, one story house with easy exit to clear areas where nothing can fall on me. I have a 'gas meter shut off tool' right outside my front door so I can turn off all 3 of the meters at once or just the one that needs to be shut down. Water shut off for my house easy to reach, and for the back houses same. AND if I really need to, I have one of the REAL shut off tools for the main water line at the street. Ha. Some worker left it here years ago and when I called, he said to just keep it, it might come in handy. Nice of him. Main electrical shut off for all 3 houses are also on my house right above the gas meters and I can shut them down instantly.

No high rises around my area. Tallest are apartments/condos which are 2 story about 400 feet back of me. Pretty safe area. Only thing that would cause me trouble is all my 'stuff' falling off the walls and breaking. I'm a major collector of everything. My house inside looks like an antique store/collectible/art gallery/retro/modern/everything place. Twice now I've had TV stations ask if they could film a 'spot' for the news on my house. I would love to be featured, but I'm not going to expose all I own to the bad guys who might want to break in and steal everything. Lots of expensive art and other nice things. Outside looks pretty normal and as if nothing really important would be inside. Nothing lavish to look at as you drive by.

Hope the earthquakes settle. It's most likely the San Andreas Fault which runs right through the desert. You can actually drive out past Palm Springs to 'Box Canyon' and see the fault. Rocks sticking up at angles as you drive on the sandy dirt road. They have filmed several movies out there and it's fun to see a spot I recognize. On a map, look for Mecca, CA and then for Box Canyon and Painted Canyon. Really great area for hiking and sightseeing.

That's the fun part, but earthquakes do a load of damage in more populated areas and could eventually wend their way down to San Diego area. The Mexicali Fault was a biggie too. Terrible damage and loss.

I think I'll be OK, don't know about Darlene yet. Check in please since you are in a more vulnerable area!
