A Very Secret Service is the Netflix title for the French TV series Au service de la France. Its a dark comedy about agents of the French Secret Service during the cold war of the 1960s.
André Merlaux, young, handsome but somewhat naive is recruited into the French Secret Service where he learns that the most important aspect of being a spy is making sure you get the right forms stamped.
André, teased by senior agents Moulinier, Jacquard, and Calot about his suit he goes to a tailor shop were he meets and falls in love with Sophie. Just one problem, she's the daughter of The Colonel, head of the agency and he wants him to stop seeing his daughter.
The series ran for 12 episodes.
Netflix streams it in French with English subtitles.
