Pam,

The door is the one to the left when your facing the table you opened with the 2 keys puzzle.

The oil is under the long table that is at center of the room. Stand on the aisle at the same side as the entrance door you came to this room. Pan the cursor under the table - middle part of the table and see the oil flask.

Hi Pam, just coming back after spending a couple of hectic, but wonderful, days with family, so let me see if I can answer your question. If I understand you correctly, you are dying in the room where you need to catch the scorpions, right?

According to Mags (who is a woman, btw) this is the best way to do it:

Take the large bucket.
Turn around, look down and place the bucket on the scorpion.
Take the other bucket.
Go to the door - you can rest here.
Turn right and move to the left of the chessboard.
Turn right then pan down to see another scorpion running around.
Take bucket from inventory and use on scorpion.

Now you can breathe. Don't forget to get the plank and the bag...

Jenny: Hi thanks for responding, but guess what the second I get into the scene I die!
I can move the cursor or anything, I think it was because I saved it last second, last time!
I really don't want to start all over, is there anyway to unsave this area that I am stuck in?
I mean really the very second the thing loads to where I saved it, I die!
Oh woe is me!

There isn't any way that I know of to "unsave" a game, Pam--do you mean this is the only save that you have? In a case like this, we usually recommend that you go back to the last save before this part and play forward again (once you know what you're doing, it doesn't take long) until you reach a good place to save just before this puzzle. Then you can try it over as many times as you need to...

Jenny: I do have another save but that was when I could not find the oil and get into the storage room.
Should I try to go from there, what if I get stuck again??

Pam, from what you say about what happens to you in the scorpion room, I think you're going to have to go back to your last save.

Why not print out the section of Witchen's walkthrough ( here ) that covers from your last save up to the scorpion room? If you follow that exactly, you shouldn't have to worry about getting stuck again...

Pam, have you tried moving slightly and trying to pick it up from different angles? Other than that, I don't know what to tell you.

I'm going to call this to Witchen's attention--she wrote the walkthrough, and maybe she'll have some ideas...

Hi Pam....Sounds like you might be getting your save games confused to where you are using one which doesn't have all the components completed up to entering the Scorpion Room.

Make sure you have the oil flask from under the table. Mags explained exactly how to access it. You must navigate down so you can see under the table and off to the table leg on the right. Make sure you have placed the "B" symbol in the urn in the Storage Room. Make sure you have picked up the statue from the niche in the floor in the Rotating Room, then go through to the Scorpion Room and do the bucket puzzle first.
