Hi all, and I am at the window/door Puzzle and it seems I'm the only one has stayed stuck at this one. At the start of puzzle I see what appears to be 3 doors or should I say 3lines with the vertical lines up top. ( could this really be 4 doors?) Ok, I click on the wheel untill I get 3 window lines at the bottom and no door lines up top and I click the nob up a notch each time I find a window. Try as I might, I can't find the forth window. Thanks in advance to any that can help me with this, Regi

Hi Re. You aren't the only person to get stuck here.......I did too and for an awfully long time.
You are aligning doors and windows both...the doors are the ones with the bars at the top. You need to do the windows first. Cycle them with the knob starting at the lowest position. Line up all four, the knob should stop in the second from the top position.
When you have all four, move the knob to the top position and work your way down to line up all the doors.
Good luck

Sue

Thanks so much Texaslady, and guess what? I found the 4th window right after I put in my plea for help. I have been trying, off and on, for 2 days to find it. lol Ya have to be standing just so so to see it, and I think it was about 5 clicks after you find the 3rd window. Have a great evening, Regi

I'm back, hat in hand. I have, for a couple of days, tried to do the first Panel sound puzzle in Argannas. I have gone to the church and I am sure I have the 3 exact matching crank sounds ( the 3 cranks with 2 light clicks each) and noted post side numbers. (I have gone back to a previous save and started over.) My question is, do I enter the glyphs from largest number post to smallest sided post at the panel or vise versa? Also, If I should make a mistake at the panel can I just back away and try again or do I have to go back to a save and try it all over again? Thanks so much in advanc, Regi

Hi Regi, start with the post with the least number of sides I believe.
Good luck

Sue

Thank you a bunch Sue. I have one more question. What if one of your gliphs looks looks like one on the panel but it is turned the opposite direction? And, I hope I don't have redo if I don't get the panel correct the first time. lol Regi

Use the glyphs you see Re. If you see a three sided box with a dot in the middle but it's turned the opposite way from what you saw.........use it.
Let me know if you get it knocked.

bravo Thank you, thank you Sue. Yep, I nailed it this time. I think it helped that I turned off the background music this time also. My hearing is not so good anyway, in fact, it's not even fair to middlin. thanks again for being here, Regi

Regi, try using headphones. Other members with less than stellar hearing used them and it worked.
Good luck

Am I the only one stuck at Sanselard? I don't even understand the walkthroughs for this part! I'm someone who likes slider puzzles and wouldn't mind one here instead of this gobbledegook. Talk about nightmares of Rama, it's supposed to be a GAME!!!

Topher, where exactly are you stuck in this area? Have you been able to rise to the top of any of the towers and have a look around?

TopherAce, to play Sanselard, you have to make some associations.

First association : the 3 top wheels of the 4 big towers with the 3 top wheels of the 8 small towers.

Second association : the sounds of the 8 small towers with the sounds of the 11 totem pole and the corresponding symbols.

Third association : the 4 towers with the corresponding 2 symbols to get the elevators working.

Maybe this can help you with Sansalard.

Have fun with your game.

my 2 cents:

this was an incredibly involved puzzle. I respect it more with distance.

The hang up for me was the wheels association. I'm not used to that level of puzzle detail; for a long time I just took it for granted that the wheel animation was gratuitous and ignored it.

WW, did the same thing. Started with associating the sounds of the small towers with the totems and the symbols because there are symbols at the base of the big towers.

But then you ask yourself, which 2 symbols for a specific big tower????

Have a good day.
