I have got to top of the moutain saw the alien at the door(1st time seeing alien) but am not understanding about combining the fruits/seedlings to get the right combination. Mike

There are ways that you combine fruits:

1. Compote prep. This is fruit + fruit + pan. Then heat in fire basin.

2. Make seedlings and then graft them.
Seedling - Take a fruit and then click it on potting soil to produce a seedling. Make seedlings of available colored fruits.
Grafting - Click on 2 different colored fruit seedlings and they will go to the assembly area. Add a raffia (lunar or earth) to produce a grafted seedling.

I have the blue/yellow hybrid when I go to the blue and yellow plants on the island they will not let me through. Is their something else I am supposed to do so that they will let me pass.

Plants - you have to make a hybrid of plants that scares them.
Each plant is afraid of another plant.
You get the clue for this on the walls of the cliff wall.
Make a seedling of each colored fruit.
Then make graft of the seedlings colored that the pair of plants are afraid of.
As for the blue and yellow plants - blue is afraid of green and yellow is afraid of purple.
So make a green and purple seedlings and then graft it.
Click it then on each of the plants - blue and yellow. :luck.

I am having trouble putting my numbers in where the exploding mushrooms are the number on the floor is 6, the left number is 8, the right number is 11. I am so stuck. Help Mike

Mike, try three bars and two dots on the right, one bar and three dots on the left.

Mike, it's not that hard, honestly. They are just using 20 as the base number not 1. One bar is equal to 5 and a dot is equal to one. If the number is twenty or greater in the right hand column, transfer that number to the left column but it becomes a ONE. So if you had a total of 20 in the right column and 10 in the left.........the right column would be a zero and the left column would be 11....or two bars and one dot.

I combined the tank of potassium hydrate and the funnel. I did the stuff in between that I was supposed to do. I cant get the can to pick up the drops of potassium. When I put the tank in the auto screen and it appears in the upper left corner I get a red circle with a line through it when I click on the puddle of potassium. How can I get the potassium into the can? If I take the can out and hold it over the sink the can goes into the auto window automatically.

Dutch, if Ardan is floating in the air inside the cabin, just take the can with the funnel and click on the dark beads of liquid. Once you get all of them you'll be able to finish getting ready to land on the moon.

I was clicking in the wrong place!!! So what else is new??!!I cant find the Turbine area. I climb the stairs and I am back at the Telescope area. Are there other stairs I am missing? I dont find walls or the skull and standing panel.

Dutch, walk around the rock area and look for steps that will take you into a lower area.

How do I get the fruits to scare the plants? I got the yellow and green and blue fruits but can't figure out how to get the other fruits to make seedlings.

Dutch, make some hybrid plants. Make a green plant and a yellow one, combine them and make a new one. You'd be surprised at the reactions of some of the plants to others. Start a plant from each different colored fruit and then make hybrids by combining two different colored plants. There's potting soil on the rock mound and you'll find more later when you get to the top of the mountain.

I need to find the fruits? How do I do that?

It sounds like you just started. at the beginning on the moon. You have green fruits by the shell and a yellow close to the edge of the mountain.
More yellow fruits are at the center of the crater at the lower level. There you also find soil and lunar raffia.
When you jump off the crater to go to the cave by the cliff - you can catch blue fruits opr pick them up if on a higher level at side of cliff. These are enough fruits to work with to make seedlings and graft them to scare the trees.
Once you scare some plants - you can get more fruits and go from there.

Now to scare the plants - the clue here is seen on the walls of the cliff. You will see which plants scare what other plant. You can then go from there.

I fixed a compote of blue and red the colors on the creatures shoulders and he does not like it. How do I get him to eat it? Does he eat it all and empty the pan? Or do I have to get it out of the pan and if so how do I do that?

As for the creatures, you have to fix a compote of the plants the creatures on his shoulders can dominate OR the colors of the plants where you find them.
Just click the compote on the creature and he will eat it leaving you with an empty pan.

Don't forget to cook the fruit. And try different combinations of 2 fruits until you find the one he likes. You may have to enter the "pentagon" island in the middle and get a different color fruit, try mmmmm, purple, and mix with yellow or green, then get some red and try that too. You will find just the right 'dish' to appease him by the trial and error method if you don't understand the 'glyphs' on the walls everywhere. There is a glyph at each stair level as well as the walls outside the locked gates up top.

The WT says to cook the colors that are dominant on their shoulders on one the colors are blue and yellow on the other one the colors are red and blue. Are there more than one fruit is a compote. I have tried to mix three fruits together and it won't work. I have tried several times with red and blue and blue and yellow and nothing works.

Dutch, try making the "guard" Selenites compotes of the fruits that they are near. If he is in the red/purple area, give him a compote of those fruits. That's what worked for me.

I am at the selling machine everything in my inventory is gone the shell the rifle can of food ammunition seedlings where did they go when I click on an item in inventory it says this item is too expensive for you. When I first right click on the inventory everything is there but when I click on the machine the inventory clouds over and whole set of different things are there.

It was my fault by not reading the WT correctly. And the conversation it says plainly to sell to the Dignitary. Don't ask me what I did or how I did it but I got the dot bar door open on first try!!!!Now I am at the door scale I have clicked the cursor on every position and the door is jammed. What am I not doing right? I can close and open the outer door with the left handle but can't get the right one to work.

I'm having major problems grafting seedlings. I have found blue, yellow, and green plants, but can't find the red fruit to make a purple seedling.
Please help.

Dutch are you talking about the scales in the hall where the exploding mushrooms are? I think that all I did was click on the first red dot on the left and the door opened for me.
If you are talking about the door that you opened with the number code, close the door to your left with the left lever and once the door is closed, click on the right lever. The other door should open up for you.

Hi Zontag, go back to the plant/forest area and jump around until you find the red plants and the purple plants. The fruit from both of them will be there.

If you have the blue and yellow you can graft then to scare the purple and red plants.Then you can get hold of those fruits.

I have scared all the plants on the island, but the 2 guards (on island and top of cliff) don't like any compote combination I make.

Zontag, for the guard that is on the rock island, make him a compote of the two plants that he is guarding. That's what I had the best luck using on them.
The guard that is blocking your entry at the top of the mountain, I am pretty sure that I used blue and yellow on him.

Does any one have a saved game for the sound puzzle not sure if would work, becuase its a radam puzzle. But this thing is driving me crazy

You can figure out which compote to make for them by giving them each of the different fruits and seeing which they like. They'll each like two fruits, and these are the ones you make into a compote. I think Sue's right that the guy on top of the mountain likes blue and yellow.

Babs, we could send you a saved game for the sound puzzle but our games won't match yours. If you will send me a saved game, I'll play it for you when I have time and return it to you.

OK hope I can make this understandable. I am at the lab door. The total on the top right space is 18 or 19 either one depending on if I step back or not. How do I add two to the right and one to the left to make it work? I tried by putting 2 dots in the right lower space to make 20 when it is eighteen and O to what ever the total is on the left upper space. I add 2 dots in the lower right space and 1 to the lower left space when the upper right space is 19 and it does not work. What am I doing wrong the first door worked great the very first time I did it now I cant get this door to work.

Tell me what is on the panel's left square and right square (18 or 19).

Are the numbers on the floor - one dot on the left and 2 dots on the right?

2 dots on the right and 1 on the left. 18 on the right and 8 on the left the left changes it can be any number at random. Same with 19 on the right the left numbers change at random. I can go back and check what numbers are on the left upper side.

Now what is on the panel's left square?

The numbers are different in the upper left space every time I step back they can be 12 14 16 3 etc. right one was 18.

Let's see - let's say then:
left panel is 12.
right panel is 18.

Floor: left - one dot and right - 2 dots.

So right side is 18 (panel) + 2 (floor) = 20
This 20 will be carried over to the left square since this is base 20 math - leaving a zero on the right panel.

The left side is 12 (panel) + 1 (floor) + 1 (carried over from the right panel) = 14.

So you enter on the right middle panel = zero,
and enter on the left middle panel 14 which is 2 bars and 4 dots.

I got it FINALLY!!Ok now I need more than 300 points for the level 2 key I have 285 After struggling through the music matching machine for the second time to get more points. Is there another way I can earn points other than the music machine? Some of the sounds are so much alike it is hard to distinquish and I always thought I was good at sounds.Thanks for any help given

Make variations of fruit compotes.
Enter and go out of necropolis - at least 3 times.
Eat the compotes and also feed them to the Selenites.

Mike, if Scurvy took your key, get him drunk. Mix lunar grapes and blue fruit, make a compote. He should be a little more relaxed and you can have your key back.

Lise, when the vent oozes red stuff, click on that vent with the mechanical arm. Watch the other vents, at least three of them will need to be clicked on.

Never occurred to me that the feeling splendid compote would help with the mushrooms! (I wish I'd known that before!)

I used it for the leaps, but didn't think to try it again after that.

I fixed the damaged flute and only have 287 points I cannot do the music puzzle It just does not work for me to get extra points. I can't go on until I have the level 2 key I need it after I talk to Scurvy. I ate several compotes and only got 2 points. I can't feed the Selenites because I have fed them already. I left and entered the necropolis 4 times and got no more points for doing so. I don't know what else to do. The musical machine is IMPOSSIBLE I play the organ and cant get the tones right. I could not believe it that it was that hard for me. I went to talk to Scurvy before getting the key and guess what my points are 299 guess I will go and try that darn frustrating music machine. It seems the only thing I can do now.

This game is not for me I guess. I just cant get past the 299 whatever I try. I went back to the music game and just cannot do it. I got some points when I ate the red and blue compote but it only happens once. I cant get anymore points by eating compote.

Try this Dutch - make a seedling of the blue fruit.
Graft that with the plant in a pot from the shell.
Plant it on the fertile soil in the cave.
That will get you over the 300 mark.

When I try to plant it in the soil I just get a hand cursor and it wont go there. Is the soil you are talking about in cave in the high place in the center of the moon plants that is where I tried to plant it.

Dutch make a seedling with blue fruit then combine that with the potted plant that was on the space craft with you. That combination you plant on the ledge that you jumped to. There's just a wee bit of soil on the edge.

Yes you can feed the Selinites more than once, but you need to "flush" their digestive systems by adding water to their 'mush mixture' in the kitchen, there is a nozzle for adding water to the mixture in the vats. Then you can feed them something else......
Don't forget to check in inventory your (not sure of title now) "stumbling around" (?) it shows every experiment you have tried and each seedling and hybrid you have made at least once. I think each item raises your score a little bit, not sure. Am still playing game second time and had a strange experience at the end. Forgot to make and add the potash to the "pot" on my shell and suffocated to death, but also it froze my game and I could not get a reaction from my cursor, could not open my inventory or anything had to get out of the game and go back to my last save to redo ending. Very strange reaction to my "death"

I am in the lab at the purifier trying to make grease. I forgot to take the belt and other things from the cabinet in the lumen room when I was there the first time I went back to the lumen room and the creature wont let me open the cabinet. How do I get the cabinet open to get the things I need?

Do the same thing over - make him feel splendid with a compote and placed in the food vat at the kitchen. Then he will be in a frenzy of work and you can take the stuff you missed in the cabinet.

Dutch, if you will make a compote of the green and yellow fruits and put it into the general food vat, you'll be able to get what you need from that Selenites area. Be sure you reverse it though with some water.

I am in the transmitter room I have done everything required I can see the blue lumen in the trough but cannot pick it up with the empty can. I put the can up on the screen when I move to the trough with the cursor it does not change and nothing happens how do I fix this?

I got it figured out I didn't put the blue stuff in the hopper sorry!!!I hope I can explain this clearly. I had to use yellow and green compote to get the cabinet open in the lunar room. Thus Scurvy got the frenzies. I forgot to put water in the vat to clean out their stomachs. I have called the creatures to move the shell for me but when I went to ask Scurvy to tell them to help me he still had the frenzies. The only thing I can ask him is to repeat how to get the shell into the cannon. Do I have to go back and do the whole thing over again from where I gave them yellow and green compote to give them water right after I get the cabinet open to proceed and get the right answer from Scurvy?

Dutch, go back to the vat and flush it with water. Scurvy should be normal when you return to see him and request his assistance.

Yes I did everything I was supposed to do. I went back and started over at the essence machine it works fine up to step 7 it takes 4 measures instead of 3 in fact every time I push the middle button it takes 4 measures the first time it did it right but this time it just does not want to do it.

Dutch, as long as the container on the left is empty and the one on the right has at least 4 measures in it, that's what you'll get in the left one.
You may have to empty both containers and start all over again.

the organ: I dont understand what to do .

Before you do the organ puzzle:
Be sure that you have water and air flowing into the organ - those are another puzzle by itself.

Then I would recommend to do this when you have your level 2 key already.

The insert you level 2 key on the keyhole on the left wall by the organ - close to the chart.
Now, call one of the 3 creatures you found in the plant area and up the mountain using the colors of the plants on their shoulder.

Press the 2 colors of the plants on the shoulder.
Hear an answer. You have to reproduce that sound - but with the key on the slot - look around the knobs and see that the answer is already made for you. The knob you need to press is already lit.

So just press the lit knobs until another response is heard. Repeat the procedure until the creature arrives.
Then do it for the other 2 creatures.

I have one problem. I can't seem to throw anything out of the top porthole to lighten the load. What do I need to do? I got it open but nothing seems to happen when I try to throw anything out.

You use the wrench to remove the porthole cover.
The bottom porthole (on the floor) is where you open and throw things from. Click on the latch on right side to open it.

I started over making the lumin and it still does not give me 3 measures at the end. It takes 4 measures every time I push the middle button. It is only supposed to take 2 measures on the 5th middle button push it takes 4. It worked right the first time I did it. Now I cant get it to work at all.

Click on him when you get a face with )))coming out of the mouth you wont be able to talk to him until you repair the flute however. If you haven't done that then you have to wait to talk to him later in the game.

Hi all, i`m loving this game but am real stuck now.
I am at the organ puzzle. I`ve called two creatures but i can`t call the third one (blue-yellow). The first time i called him he called back but i gave a wrong answer to it, but now when i call it he don`t reply anymore?! Anyway to reset it or somehow?

Hi Dutchdevil. Try starting the call with just the first two tones again. I messed up when I did it and they will answer to the first call again.

Ikgregorio, to get that essence, you will have to go to lowest level with the level 2 key and get it from a machine. You need 3 measures of that essence.

Mag I still cant get 3 measures. It takes 4 measures every time and leaves 1 measure in the right tank instead of 3 measures. On step 7 it is supposed to take only 2 measures it takes 4 every time. I have followed the WT carefully 8 times I cant understand why it is doing this it worked fine the first time. Maybe the machine will only do it correctly the first time. I made a boo boo and had to go back again to the blue hopper machine. I need the 3 measures to paint the shell. I cant paint it until I get the 3 measures and the machine will not co-operate.The last step in the instructions leaves me one measure every time.

Dutch, what are you trying to do with the pink stuff? Have you already painted your space craft?

I FINALLY got it to work!!Now I cant get Scurvy to order the creatures to help me with the shell it is painted and at the bottom of the shaft. I called the creatures they are at the end of the tunnel asleep waiting for Scurvy to tell them what to do.The last question listed is for him to repeat his instructions about the shell and how to get it in the cannon. There is nothing about giving the creatures any orders to help me.

I went back and I still cannot get past the essence machine I cant paint the shell without the essence. I have tried and tried in fact have spent most to the day to get past this point by even going back to a previous save and nothing works. On step 7 of the instructions it is supposed to take 2 measures and it continues to take 4 so there is NO WAY I can get the 3 measures at the end. Hi I have the ship already to go but when I blast off it tells me I have died lack of oxygen.I have Borzludjak oxygenizing preparation when I try to apply it in the ship it will not let me I can't figure out what I am doing wrong? Mike

Hi Sue no I have Borzludjak oxygenizing preparation on the walkthrough it said to use that instead of potassium but if you would tell me where to get it from on the moon I will do so. Mike

Mike, there is a bag of something called Chlorate of potash behind a book in the locked cabinet. Use that bag on the plate hanging over the little flame and that should take care of the oxygen problem--at least for now...

I didn't make that one, I made the chlorate and that may make a big difference. But for the potassium, just take some raffia either out of your inventory or out of the cabinet in the cabin and stick it in the flame. I did two bunches just for the heck of it, clicked it on the potassium can on the floor right after I shut the hatch..........I was shooting off into the sky and lived.

I am so frustrated with this game I think I am just going to uninstall the darn thing and forget it. I have done everything I am supposed to do the shell has been painted and dropped the creatures are where they are supposed to be and I cant get Scurvy to tell them to move the shell. Dutch, that sort of thing is enough to drive you crazy with frustration, isn't it?

The only thing I can suggest is to go back to a save and work your way forward again, following the walkthrough exactly. I don't know how far back you would have to go--it's possible that you missed some little action a ways back, but I hope that you can get through this. It's one thing to quit a game because you don't like it, but another thing (and really irritating), to have to quit because things just won't work right...

Do I have to do the last painting puzzle? I do not have some essence of Klipsaggt in inventory

No, the second painting has clues that you already found out earlier. But it is fun to do the first painting.
The essence of Klipsaggt is that pink stuff from the machine across where you got the first painting. Just get some in that can and use it with lunar cotton on the first painting.

Are you sure you have called them and they have gone thru that door and down into their sleeping quarters? If they are still standing by that door waiting for you to open it Scurvy cannot get them to do what you want - they have to be inside and in their sleeping niches (sleeping when I checked mine once).

I figured out what the problem was and got past Scurvy finally. Now I cant find the barrel of powder where in the game was that supposed to be? I don't remember anything about a barrel of poweder. Will go back through the WT to see if I can find it anywhere. I checked the machine that sells stuff and there isn't a barrel of powder there either. Think I just figured the powder out. Gonna go try it.

Dutch you may have used the barrel of powder already. It was on the spacecraft with you initially. You can make more without much trouble though.

You would have found it on the shell in that cabinet you unlocked with the key you found under your friend. And you would have used it in the retro-rocket to slow your descent to landing...Did you also open your bullets with your knife? That makes more powder..

I got it figured out. Thanks. I cant get a whole shell from earth everytime to go to retrieve the plant sent from earth I just have what is left of the shell. There is nothing to open it has exploded on contact with the surface of the moon.

If you're referring to the painting info that is entered in the log - it refers to the skull panel at the turbine room. When you eat a certain compote, you will see a 8 and 1 (twenties - base 20). You have done this earlier already - this was just a clue. You don't need to do this.
