Good morning everyboomie. welcome

We made it to Friday---Yahoo!

Was there ever any doubt?............'''Nope! shame

Well, maybe some people up around central Oklahoma were a bit worried, with the ground moving so much, but they're ok this morning too.............although, I haven't really looked at any news this morning. headscratch

We never have anything exciting, like an earthquake, happen around here. rolleyes

All we have around here are boring old tornadoes, and an occasional cool thunderstorm. yes

I remember as a kid, watching the most gigantic dust storms roll over the Texas Panhandle. woot

I always wanted to go out and fly my kite up into the dust storm, until it disappeared........with our cat strapped to it in a halter. blackkitty

I would think to myself, "Let's see THIS cat land on his feet." evil

I found out from my mom that that was wrong.

VERY WRONG!

After that I never mentioned attaching the Horney Toads to boxwood gliders.

Have a happy day everyone.

Have a great Friday Joe, MaG, Space Quest and all who follow. wave

It's Thursday night here, and Friday cannot come soon enough. woozy It's been a long, stressful week, and I'm glad it's almost over. I've been determined not to let the long work days prevent me from practicing, which means I'm up way too late. lol

As for now, I'm off to sleep with Jupiter, who is already way ahead of me. catrub Have a terrific Friday, everyone. fall

It's going to be another wonderful day here. I'm waiting for the Home insurance guy to come (unannounced) and skulk around my yard looking for 'dangerous conditions'. He did the two rentals last year and I managed to surprise him. They always just sneak in, and take pictures and sneak out. They do send a 'letter' a few weeks before, which says they will contact the residents and give them a business card, etc. They never do!

So the last time, it went well, no serious deficiencies. Probably due to me fluttering my eyelashes at him and making small talk. This time, I have been cutting back overhanging tree branches. Electrical wires from my house go across the shed and link to the rentals, and 2 huge Brazilian Pepper trees overhang them. I have to cut them back occasionally. This time I let it go because of the terrible 'yard kid' incident. He is no longer welcome here or at my neighbor's since he stole 300 bucks from her purse. I think he figured out what we 'don't have any work for you' means. We both decided to not tell him we know what he did to avoid any retaliation or unpleasantness.

So he's not here, and the usual tree trimming was up to me. I got out the ladder, climbed up and down, used a long tree-trimmer pole (very heavy when you have arthritis) and managed to get the branches trimmed and put out for collection. THEN yesterday, I tackled the tree 'dropping' that were on my metal sheds. There was a 3 inch thick layer (matted) of leaves. I finally dragged out my leaf blower (haven't used that in 20 years) and it actually still worked! Up and down the ladder again, blowing and moving and kicking up dust and dirt and finally got that done. Looks good.

Now I wait daily for the 'sneak' to arrive and start taking pictures and walking around my yard. I think he might actually announce his arrival since my yard is substantially fenced and has numerous DOG signs all over. A lot of workers hesitate to enter the gate until I tell them the dog is confined. Of course Fluffy, the Rottweiler is always confined. I love Fluffy. He's my 'virtual' guard dog. No need for anyone to know that of course. Really helps sometimes and with the big dog house and the nice metal "I can make it to the fence in 2.5 seconds, can you?" sign prominently displayed it makes for an added level of protection. puppy I saw 2 kids coming from school a few days ago, stop at my front fence and read the sign outloud. Really funny. The sign is on a second inner fence, higher than the street side one. Cute. They were actually chatting about the 2.5 seconds and looking for the dog. rotfl

Off to look for that Insurance guy. Might be today, might be next week, or sometime in December. Who knows?

WARNING! This person is extremely blonde...please type SLOWLY.

Fantastic Friday ya'll puppy

We seem to have a leak in the kitchen...hmmmmmm.......

Besides leak watching, I'm planning some cake baking and perhaps I'll make the dressing and put it in the freezer. Or perhaps I go back to bed until the boys get here rotfl wave

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!! It's snowing out. Been at the Moose Lodge chopping up everything for the salad bar and other prep work and had to clear the snow off the car. It was raining when I went. I guess it had to happen sooner or later but was hoping for later. lol

Much rain and high winds here Nan, I heard you are supposed to get lots of snow! Snow flurries later for us, but whatever it is, it won't last. Hope you don't get too much!

Yup looks like flurries for us to Ana. As some friends of mine say, "His feathers darken the sky and his wing strokes take leaves from the trees; careful now, the Winter Hawk is coming." grin

I feel a lot more like I do now, then when I first got here
