Another "Netflix Original" Paranoid is a British/German crime drama. It starts out in a fictional English town of Woodmere where a GP is murdered, leaving behind a son the father of which is an American living in Dusseldorf, Germany. It ran for 8 episodes.

Like real people all the main characters are flawed.
One detective has panic attacks which his psychiatrist just throws drugs at

One detective who keeps bringing up that she's 38 years old, and running out of time to have children is dumped by her boyfriend of 4 1/2 years

One is always making wise cracks, at the detective who wants children, I think he's in love with her and she can't see it

Somebody is watching them and sending them clues to follow. They call this person "the Ghost Detective" because he imperonsated a detective and questioned 7 witnesses

I've just finished the first episode.

I watched the whole series from BBC. Really good, mysterious as to who is who and doing what to who. It wraps up nicely at the end, sort of....

One reviewer didn't like that the character were all flawed. For me that was a selling point. Real people have character flaws. Real police detectives are not perfect, they make mistakes.

I loved the flawed characters. Kept me guessing till the end as to who was sane/insane and if they all were paranoid or just some of them. Really a good series if you like pondering and second guessing.

There doing a good job of making me paranoid. I don't know what to think about the Quaker lady. Is she just a nice lady who really wants to help the troubled officer? Or does she need him because she's lonely? Or is she in league with the killer? Or is is something else entirely?

Oh and I don't know if the boss is a corrupt cop or just incompetent.

It popped up on Netflix for me, probably because off all the other British series I watch. Which Vera was online, save me having to wait for the DVDs.

I think that German cop is related to Saga in The Bridge. Needs to work on her social skills.
